BEREKUM EAST ASPIRING NPP PARLIAMENTARY CANDIDATES PROMISES TO TRANSFORM BEREKUM. One of the aspiring NPP parliamentary candidates contesting for Berekum East Constituency seat in the Bono Region, Mr Nelson Kyeremeh has pledged that he is coming into the race to bring a total facelift into Berekum since the image of the town has been dwindle. BEREKUM EAST MP EMBARKS ON FREE HEALTH SCREENING. The incumbent MP of Berekum East Constituency of the Bono Region, Hon. Dr. Kwabena Twum Nuamah has undertaken a free medical outreach screening for his constituents. The Chairman of parliamentary select committee on health in collaboration with a team of experts from UK through Places Ghana Foundation, a non-governmental organization and Holy Family Hospital, screened patrons of all kinds of health complications such as mental, dental, eye, breast cancer, blood donation, voluntary HIV counselling and testing, dietary education, biomedical inspection and physical examination including vitals and BP checks. The aged and the middle age group turned out in their numbers to be screened by the medical experts. Some of the participants found of major health cases were treated freely by the doctors and medications were provided. METHODIST PRESIDING BISHOP URGE STUDENTS TO BE DISCIPLINE The Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church Ghana, Most Rev. Dr. Paul Boafo on his tour to the Wenchi Diocese also visited some churches and schools in the Bono Region.                  NO X-RAY MACHINE AT BEREKUM HOLY FAMILY HOSPITAL Berekum Holy Family Hospital in the Bono Region one of the Christian Hospitals in the region serving over 100,000 people both Ghana and other neighbouring countries is in die need of an X-ray machine to serve it's clients.                   Gear Outreach and Partners Touch Lives in Kyereyawkrom Gear Outreach the philanthropic wing for Gear Entertainment Ghana in partnership with American Ladies, has donated clothing to residents of Kyereyawkrom a farming village in the Biadan community of Berekum East Municipal of the Bono Region. The team donated clothes to persons of all ages but mostly 0-5 years female children. Others received shoes, toys, candies, bags, amongst others. Omanhene of Berekum storms road construction sites to inspects ongoing road projects in Berekum.

BEREKUM TRADITIONAL COUNCIL INSPECTS ONGOING ROADS CONSTRUCTION. The Berekum Traditional Council headed by Daasebre Dr. Amankona Diawuo II together with Nananom has inspected ongoing roads construction on the Berekum Zongo one way and Brenyekwa-Siekwa road in the Bono Region. The Zongo one way road which is among the roads being constructed is challenged with unauthorized structures along the sides of the roads and is hampering construction. Owners of the unauthorized structures have been given an ultimatum by the Berekum Municipal Assembly to remove them by the next two weeks through which the Traditional council took it upon themselves to visit them to have first hand information at the place. The traditional authorities in their inspection have agreed with the assembly to provide a place for the owners of the containers for relocation. BREAKING NEWS......Fire guts 5 bedroom in Berekum Thursday market

BREAKING NEWS: FIRE GUTS HOUSE IN BEREKUM Residents of Berekum Mombaza were greeted with bad tidings the morning. The fire which destroyed  a 5 bedroom house and properties, started around 10:20 am this morning. It took the timely intervention of the youth within the vicinity to quech the fire before the arrival of Nsuatre Fire Service. The Berekum Municipal Fire tender is currently not functional due to mechanical fault.  Some of the affected tenants had this to say as they cry watching their properties being destroyed.  The Assembly member for Berekum New town. Hon. Boakye Gideon commended the youth in the area for the hard work done to quench the fire.
