Over 70 countries holds Inter-Continental Peace Conference.

Inter-continental Online Conference to Discuss the Role of Peace Education. On January 24th, over 2,400 pre-registered attendees from 70 countries, including the Philippines, the U.S.A, Germany, South Africa, China, and South Korea, joined the online inter-continental peace conference to discuss the role of peace education. The conference was organized by a Korea-based international peace NGO, Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) under the UN DGC and the UN ECOSOC in celebration of the 7th Anniversary of the January 24 HWPL Peace Day. The January 24 HWPL Peace Day declared by the Province of Maguindanao in the Philippines has been commemorated annually since the Mindanao Peace Agreement was made by the local government and civil society leaders on January 24th, 2014. PROFILE OF HON. JUSTINA OWUSU-BANAHENE, MCE, SUNYANI MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY NOW BONO REGIONAL MINISTER DESIGNATE.  Justina Owusu-Banahene (a.k.a. Awo)  a 51-year old  politician, christian and educationist is the MCE of Sunyani Municipal Assembly. Hon. Awo Banahene was born on April 02, 1970 in Atronie in the Sunyani Municipality. She is not married but has a male child.  Until her elevation to the office of the MCE in May 2019, Awo was a lecturer of the University College of Education, Berekum.  ● POLITICAL CAREER Justina Owusu-Banahene is out and out NPP women of high repute. She was the National Deputy Women Organizer for the New Patriotic Party from 2018 till appointmentas the MCE. Efiritete Foundation celebrate's widows in Berekum.

 EFIRI TETE FOUNDATION CELEBRATES WIDOWS, ORPHANS, PWD AND NEEDY IN SOCIETY. Efiritete Foundation over the weekend charged the event grounds of Berekum Runners Hotel as they hosted Adomfest with widows which attracted hundreds of people to the feast.  Adom Festival under the auspices of the Efiritete Foundation has celebrated widows and orphans over 20 years but 2020 program was exceptional. Speaking to the Co-CEO of EfiriTete Foundation, Mrs. Ernestina Frimpong was grateful to the Almighty God for the strength and protection over the years in their lives.  She continued that, Mr. Frimpong, her husband and Co-CEO of the Foundation has been her strong pillar over the years. This year's event recorded about 1000 widows, orphans, persons with disability and the needy in society benefited from the event. They were all fed and gifted with clothes, shoes, fabrics, food, etc to their satisfaction. The Queen Mother of Berekum - Nana Akosua Ameyaahene III was the special guest at the event

DR. TWUM-NUAMAH APPRECIATES BEREKUM EAST  CONSTITUENTS. A boy of 14 year old shot dead at Berekum - Kwadwofubehu before the new year.

14 YEARS BOY SHOT DEAD AT BEREKUM KWADWOFUBEHU. A 14 year old boy Kwabena Martin has been shot dead by an unknown person at Kwadwofubehu forest a farming community near Kato in the Berekum Municipality of the Bono Region.  According to the police, the boy and his younger brother is reported to have gone in search for 'Atooto aba' seeds at the forest to sell.  The family reported late in the day, reported the missing of Kwabena Martin to the Berekum Police command. His lifeless body was retrieved after a search at the forest and transferred to Sunyani regional hospital for autopsy.  The police has since launched investigation into the case to trace the person behind such an act.
