PRESS RELEASE: COURT REMANDS FIVE MOBILE MONEY SYNDICATE GANG MEMBERS INTO THE POLICE CUSTODY FOR DEFRAUDING BY FALSE PRETENCE IN WENCHI. 1.The Wenchi District Court, presided over by His Worship Issah Abdul Wahab, has remanded five mobile money syndicate gang members in connection with offences of conspiracy to commit crime, to wit; defrauding by false pretense and defrauding by false pretence. 2.The complainant, Sylvester Declercq Mensah, aged 54, an agriculturalist at Boadan in Wenchi Municipality, on April 24, 2025, reported that he was swindled of GHC 130, 000.00 by unknown persons. 3. Upon receipt of the information, Police launched a full-scale investigation into the matter, leading to the arrest of the suspects on January 18, 2026. 4.
