Vice President Presents 150 Vehicles to Some Selected SHS in the Country.  The vice President Dr. Mahammadu Bawumia has presented 150 vehicles to a number of Senior High Schools in the country as part of the continues fulfilment of a pledge by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to provide the necessary logistics to ensure access to quality education for Ghanaian youth. The Vehicles are made up of 100 buses and 50 pickup trucks, this latest provision of vehicles form part of a broader, ongoing effort by government, through the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) and other stakeholders, to not only increase access to education for every Ghanaian child, but also provide the necessary infrastructure and logistics to create a conducive environment for teaching and learning. AGRICULTURE STUDENTS APPEALS TO GOVERNMENT AND OTHER STAKEHOLDERS FOR POSTING AFTER SCHOOL. The Agricultural Students in Ghana are appealing on government and the Ministry of Food and Agriculture to come to their aid after completion of school.  According to the, this has become necessary following the accumulation of Agriculture graduates from the 6 college sre in the houses unemployed. Agriculture students in the various college are going through a lot of stress and hardship before they can pay their school fees due to the scrapping of their allowances and the absence of feeding grands during their staying period in school.  Our neighbors from the other sectors like colleges of education enjoy feeding grands, allowances and posting after school but the students from the Agriculture Colleges are left out without any support from the government.  The students are pleading on government and other stakeholders since our allowances has been scrap off, we should be posted after completion

Wontumi Radio & Movement TV start test transmissions in Accra   Wontumi Radio and Movement TV  have started test transmissions today in the capital, Accra. The FM station is operating on the dial 95.9mhz while the TV station is on Multi TV and other digital platforms. The newly-born stations will mainly cover politics and sports as well as serve as a medium for businessmen to advertise. The stations were birthed from Wontumi 101.3 FM and Wontumi TV in Kumasi under the Wontumi Communications Limited owned by Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi. GACL cites McDan’s private jet business for infractions at KIA. The Ghana Airport Company Limited (GACL) has accused McDan Aviation of breaching the laid down procedure after procuring its license to operate in 2019. It raised concerns in a letter last Friday, the scheduled date for the McDan Group of Companies’ private jet service launch at the Terminal 1 of the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) in Accra. Despite a GACL directive to call off the event, the company went ahead to hold the ceremony last Friday. It was, however, boycotted by GACL leadership. Other government officials who were absent at the outdooring of what Daniel McKorley described as a feat in the country’s aviation sector include Transport Minister, Kwaku Ofori Asiamah. The airport authorities said the McDan Group undertook some activities at the Airport without approval. Annual Event to Commemorate Civilian-Led Peacebuilding in Mindanao Calls Forth Collective Action to Develop Peace. On the 24th of January 2022, over 22,000 social representatives from 51 countries attended the international peace conference celebrating the Peace Day held virtually. The event commemorated a civilian-led peace agreement made between the Islam and Catholic communities in Mindanao 8 years ago. Back in 2014, Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL), an international NGO mediated the conflict in Mindanao by proposing a peace agreement by local representatives. Witnessed by Chairman Man Hee Lee of HWPL, the peace agreement was signed by Hon. Esmael G. Mangudadatu, the then Governor of Maguindanao, and Archbishop-Emeritus Fernando Capalla of the Archdiocese of Davao representing local leadership.
