Sampa Chieftaincy Clash, 41 Accused Persons Remanded in Custody for Two Weeks. The continued disturbances that has been ensued between the two factions at Sampa in the Jaman North District of the Bono region has led to the death of one individual and others wounded including a military officer on Friday 22nd November, 2024.  The Ministry of Interior has placed a curfew on the Sampa township since last October from 6am to 10pm, and the residents have to amend and find place for peace to reign and to smoke peace pipe by the two factions in the community. The rest of the people who were affected during the clash and wounded are currently at the hospital recieving treatment. Court Case: Six (6) out of Fourty Seven (47) accused persons of Fiday clash of the two factions at Sampa has been granted bill with Ghc20,000 each with two sureties The 6 includes 4 females and a 2 males. POLICE POST IN DISREPAIR AS CHIEF OF DONKRO-NKWANTA PLEADS FOR RETURN OF POLICE PERSONNEL. The Chief of Donkro-Nkwanta, a community in the Nkoranza South Municipality in the Bono East Region, Nana Owusu-Akyaw Brempong II, has petitioned the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to re-post police personnel to the local police sub-station. This comes amid a significant surge in armed robbery and related social vices in the community. The Chief attributed the rise in crime to the recent deployment of police officers from the sub-station, following an incident between police personnel and youth in Nkoranza, which resulted in the death of Albert Donkor. Since then, according to the Chief, all police personnel have left their posts, and efforts to bring them back have been unsuccessful. Breaking the 8 with impunity: You are useless, you don't know your work, AMPRATWUM tells the National Security Operatives at the passport office. On Monday, 15th July 2024, the Honourable Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr. Kwaku Ampratwum-Sarpong angrly insulted the national security officers assigned to the passport office headquarters in the presence of the public at the inner reception. Their crime was that, they had allowed one chief who's name withheld access into the passport office.  The Deputy Minister felt that the Chief didn't deserve to come to the passport office which is a public place which is opened to all Ghanains. The security officers were trying to explain themselves to the Minister but with his extreme anger started insulting them.  SECURITY PERSONNEL RECRUITMENT: INTERIOR MINISTER DENIES ALLEGATIONS OF RECRUITMENT OF 11,000 PERSONS. The Minister responsible for Interior, Henry Quartey has disclaimed allegations of his ministry spearheading a recruitment exercise of some eleven thousand persons into the various security services. Addressing the media, the minister retirated that the figure being drawn to the attention of the public is not actually accurate. He also cautioned against scammers who engage in fraudulent acts to extort money from individuals with the idea of helping them acquire forms into the services. The member of Parliament for Ayawaso Central explained that it is the sole responsibility of the Security Intelligence Agencies to recruit personnel and not the Interior Ministry. He also clarified that the recruitment exercise has however not commenced.

A Fun Club made up of Security Personnel from Odomase, Kwatire and Adantia(OKA) in collaboration with citizens abroad has been launched in Odomase, the Sunyani- West Municipal Capital. The program which was launched during the Easter festive season is dubbed 2023 Easter Homecoming. The maiden edition drew people from all walks of life. The Berekum Officers of Ghana National Fire Service have held an indoor fire safety education for the congregation of Pentecostal Word Chapel at Jamdede in the Berekum West District of the Bono Region. Dormaa East District Assembly DCE Presents Ghc10,000.00 Towards Kyenkyenase Police Post Construction. The District Chief Executive for Dormaa East Assembly, Honourable Emmanuel Kofi Agyeman has donated ten thousand Ghana cedis (Ghc10,000) to Kyɛnkyɛnase community in the Dormaa East District of the Bono Region towards the continuation of their self help police post project which has been stalled for many years.
