BEREKUM ROYAL UNITY LODGE ADJUDGED THE BEST HOTEL IN 2018 B/A TOURISM AWARDS

                   Management of Royal Unity Lodge Receiving Their Awards BEREKUM AHENFIE HOTEL ADJUDGED THE BEST 2 STAR HOTEL IN BRONG AHAFO REGION FOR 2018 The Royal Unity Lodge, popularly known as Ahenfie hotel in Berekum of the Brong Ahafo Region was last Friday 22nd February, 2019 hosted the 2018 Brong Ahafo Regional Tourism Awards Ceremony to awards the players in the hospitality industry in the region for their excellent work to promote tourism in the country. Royal Unity Lodge aka Ahenfie Hotel which hosted the awards night took away two awards and was adjudged the best 2 star hotel in the Brong Ahafo Region. The Manageress of the Hotel, Madam Jennifer Dartey thanked Almighty God and the organizers for the award but dedicated the award to the staff and management of the hotel for their hard work to achieve this . BEREKUM TRADITIONAL COUNCIL TO ESTABLISH BEREKUM DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE The Berekumman Citizens Association a one and half year old Association of both Ghana and Abroad Citizens of Berekum Traditional Area with social inclined minded to transform Berekum, has had an exclusive meeting with Berekum Traditional Council. The Omanhene and Omanhemaa, Dasebre Dr. Amankona Dewuo II and Nana Akosua Ameyaahene III together with the traditional council met with the Association's Executive to see the way forward as far as the development of  Berekum is concerned.  Dasebre Dr. Amankona Diawuo II welcomed Berekumman Citizens Association and encouraged them to keep on with the developmental projects to bring greater change in Berekum. BEREKUM GRICO ELECTRICITY SUB-STATION READY FOR USE

BEREKUM GRIDCO SUB-STATION CONSTRUCTION IS READY FOR USE BY NEDCo The much-awaited electricity primary sub-station construction which was started about 5 years ago in June, 2014 in the Berekum Municipality of the Brong-Ahafo Region will soon see its completion. The project, funded by the Ghana Government and being constructed by an Indian company, Skipper Electricals under the supervision of Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo), has reached its final stage of completion. In a familization encounter with journalists, the Manager, Technical Operations of the Northern Electricity Distribution  Company (NEDCo), Mr. Charles Dzikunu assured the public that, Berekum will soon operate its own primary sub-station from where it will be further distributing energy to other areas like Wamfie, Dormaa Ahenkro, Nkrankwanta, Sampa, Drobo, Japekrom, and other surrounding towns.
