Berekum Omanhemaa DVLA office project receives support.

FREDRICK ADUSA DONATES TOWARDS BEREKUM OMANHEMAA DVLA PROJECT. The much anticipated DVLA project championed by Omanhemaa of Berekum, Nana Akosua Ameyaahene III has been suspended for a while now due to lack of funds. The project which started almost three years ago when completed will accommodate DVLA officials to fully operate in Berekum.  Mr Frederick Adusa, a native of Berekum who is based in the United States of America on Tuesday 29th June, 2021 visited the project site and afterwards donated an undisclosed amount to support an ongoing project.  He promised to incur the cost of painting the office which is at 80% completion. Speaking to Alrich24news.com, Mr Frederick Adusa explained that, operation of the office will boost economic growth in Berekum aside from the primary functions of the office. Nana Akosua Ameyaahene III, receiving the donations thanked Mr Adusa for his contribution towards the project and appealed to other individuals, stakeholders and organisations to come to

President Nana Akufo Addo Commissions Toyota Vehicle Assembly Plant today..

The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Danqua Akufo Addo on Tuesday 29th, June, 2021 Commissioned Toyota Vehicle Assembly plant. Nana Addo Danqua Akufo Addo in his speech commended the company for their bold decision to embrace Ghana's economy to start assembling toyota and Suzuki vehicles in the country.  According to the President's this is a promise fulfil to make Ghana an industrialisation hub in the West Africa sub-region to boost the growth of the economy. Hon. Alan Kwadwo Kyeremateng, the Minister of Trade and Industry also added that, the company will help produce skill and unskilled labourer to the Ghanaian public and as such the plant will promote matrials distribution from other sectors.  The commissioning ceremony took place at the Toyota Tsusho Manufacturing Co. Ltd premises at the Freezones Enclave in Tema to assembly Toyota and Suzuki Vehicles in Ghana.

Today Sunday Night marks 2021 Population and Housing Census Night

National Population and Housing Census 2021, Today Sunday 27th June, 2021 Marks the Census Night. The Ghana Statistical Service will be deploying its enumerators to capture details of travelers, people in guesthouses or hotel guests and other categories of persons including persons who sleep on the streets. This was revealed when Government Statistician, Professor Samuel Kobina Annim today spent some time to address the nation on the roll out of the 2021 National Housing and Population census. According to Professor Annim over 90 percent of enlisted areas have been chalked signifying a great deal of preparedness ahead of the main exercise starting with the deployment of personnel of the Statistical Service who would be stationed at lorry stations across the country to count travelers embarking on long journeys for the census night and other places deem for the 2021 census. COP KWASI MENSAH DUKU RETIRES AFTER 31 YEARS IN POLICE SERVICE. COP Kwasi Mensah Duku, the Ashanti Regional Police Commander has shared his 31 years of experience in the Ghana Police Service. In a conversation monitored by Alrich24newsgh.com,  COP Mensah Duku said he was born in Goaso and started his basic education there in the Ahafo Region. BOK Africa and VIS Ghana creating jobs to reduce illegal immigration in Ghana.

BOK AFRICA CONCERN BREAKS GROUND TO CONSTRUCT WAREHOUSE AT NANA OWUSU FAKYIWAA SOAP FACTORY.  BOK Africa Concern in collaboration with Volontariato  Internazionale Per Lo Sviluppo (VIS) have break grounds to construct a warehouse at the Nana Owusu Fakyiwaa Soap Resource Centre at Senase in the Berekum East Municipality.  The two agencies built a black soap processing factory in 2020 and now supporting it with a warehouse.   Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, the representative of VIS Ghana, Ms Silvia Tizzi, unboxed that the factory was sited in Berekum to create jobs for the skilled and unskilled youth in Berekum and its environs to help reduce illegal migration in the region.  Mr Benson O.S. OFFUMAN CHIEF IN THE GRIPS OF THE LAW FOR BUILDING WITHOUT PERMITS The Gyaasehene of Offuman, Nana Owusu Nkwantabisa Duah also known as Nana Bossman has been granted bill to the tune of Ghc 20,000.00 by the Techiman Circuit Court for developing on a piece of land without a permit at Offuman in the Techiman North District of the Bono East Region.  The Techiman North District Physical Planning Office, Mr. John Obeng Mensah at the court presided over by His Lordship Alexander Graham, explained that all efforts to reach the chief to stop developing on the said piece of land and to obtain a building permit prove futile but rather intensifies the development on the land. His Lordship Alxander Graham upon hearing the case on 23rd June 2021, at the court put  Nana Bossman into police custody and later granted him bill. Massive demonstration to hit Sunyani over lack of development.

MASSIVE DEMONSTRATION TO HIT SUNYANI OVER LACK OF DEVELOPMENT. Accra based Angel FM/TV a subsidiary of Angel Broadcasting Network (ABN) on its 24th June 2021 edition of 'Anopa Bofoo' has proposed a massive demonstration for the people of Sunyani against the retrogression of the capital town of the Bono Region. The morning show program hosted by Kofi Adoma Nwanwanii, highlighted issues like the Regional Library being abandoned for over 18 years without any reshape, malfunctional streets lights along the principal streets in the town, among others. It was revealed that a Sunyani Airport which was under construction for upgrade has also been abandoned with the contractor off-site. Reports have it that the contractor left due to lack of funds from the government. Pragyia rider commits suicide in Berekum-Kyirbaa by hanging.

PRAGYIA RIDER COMMITS SUICIDE AT KYIREBAA IN BEREKUM. A 30 year old pragyia rider, Noah Mensah aka Taller has committed suicide by hanging at Kyirbaa in the Berekum East Municipality of the Bono Region.  According to the reports gathered by Alrich24newsgh.com, he hanged himself yesterday 22nd June, 2021 at about 4:00 am out of distress. Eyewitnesses perceived he died out of broken heart of his broken relationship with his former fiancee.  He called his sister and brother-in law to informed them of his plans to hang himself to death. To him, life is not worth living. Unfortunately, advice from the brother-in-law fell on deaf ears.  The man was later found hanging at an uncompleted story building with his own belt. Ghana Police Service was called in to removed the body form where it was hanging and was sent to the Holy Family Hospital mortuary.

Baby-thief lynched for allegedly stealing one and half baby.

BABY-THIEF LYNCHED AT BEREKUM-ABISAASE. An unidentified young man in his twenties has been lynched for allegedly stealing a one and half-year-old baby at Abisase in the BerekumWest District of the Bono Region.  The body of the deceased at the time of this post was lying decomposed at the incidence scene at Abisase although the Police and Environmental Health Officers had been called to intervene. According to an eyewitness, the young man entered a room around 2:30 am on Tuesday 22nd June, 2021 and managed to make away with the baby. Fortunately, the father of the baby saw him and with the help of the community, chased him for the baby. The thief over fear of being caught threw the baby away but was still pursued and lynched. GALAMSEY KINGPIN ARRESTED IN AN INSPECTION TOUR BY THE BONO MINISTER AS SHE CONTINUES TO WAGE WAR AGAINST ILLEGAL LUMBERING AND GALAMSEY. The Bono Regional Minister Justina Owusu-Banahene together with the security task force has on Wednesday arrested, a 36-year-old man suspected to be one of the most notorious illegal miners at Wamfie in the Dormaa East District. The arrest follows after the Regional Minister waged war on the perpetrators of illegal mining and illegal lumbering across the region, which begun from Nkrankwanta and Dormaa Ahenkro on Tuesday.
