Seven bore holes commissioned and hand over by MCE of Berekum, Hon. Kofi Adjei.

BEREKUM EAST MCE COMMISSIONS MECHANIZED BORE  HOLES IN BEREKUM. The Berekum East Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Kofi Adjei and the assembly has commissioned 7 mechanized bore holes in the municipality.  The bore holes were constructed to support the fight against Covid-19. Communities such as Berekum Central Market, Thursday Market, Di asempa (Pease Market), Anyinasu, Biadan, Akrofo and main station benefited from the project.  Hon. Kofi Adjei in his speech said, President Nana Akuffo Addo in his willingness to stop Covid-19 instructed the various assemblies to embark on water expansion for them in public places such as markets and bus stations.   He then thanked the President for the massive infrastructural developments that have commenced in Berekum. BEREKUM OMANHEMAA LIFTS BAN ON POLITICAL ACTIVITIES IN BEREKUM. The Queen mother of Berekum, Nana Akosua Ameyaahene III has lifted the ban on political activities in Berekum after seeing developmental projects erupting in the city. The ban which was placed weeks ago, is yielding positive results for the people of Berekum. She made this pronouncement during a sod cutting ceremony by Dr. Kwabena Twum Nuamah for the construction of culvert drainage on Berekum-Mpatasie road as part of the asphalt road project. BEREKUM MANHENE COMMENDS PRESIDENT AKUFO-ADDO FOR 22KM ASPHALT ROADS. The incumbent MP of Berekum East Constituency in the Bono Region, Dr. Kwabena Twum-Nuamah on Wednesday 22nd July, 2020, introduced Joshop Construction Co. Ltd to the Berekum Traditional Council as contractors for a 22km asphalt roads in Berekum. Berekum has over the years, suffered poor road network and their cry has finally earned them 22Km asphalt roads from the President. Mobile money theft, mob attacked a young man over stealing at Thursday market in Berekum.

MOBILE MONEY THEFT AT BEREKUM THURSDAY MARKET. A young man believed to be in his mid twenty's was caught and beaten severely after stealing money and two mobile phones from a mobile money vendor at the Berekum Thursday market in the Berekum East Municipalities of the Bono Region. The young man was mobbed by a section of the public but for the timely intervention of the Berekum police patrol team he was rescued. Narrating the situation to Alrich24newsgh.com, the Mobile Money vendor explained that he was to cash out Ghc500.00 to a customer when the two young men entered his shop and took away the money and his two mobile phones he was operating with. He chased them for his items of which one pulled a knife and eventually gave out the two phones.    According to the eye witnesses, the vendor was seen struggling to take back his items so they assisted to stop one of them and beat him till the police arrived. VIS GHANA TRAINS FARMERS IN ORGANIC FARMING PRACTICES IN BEREKUM. The Volunteer for International Development (VIS) in Italy has on Thursday 16th July, 2020 begun a training exercise for the unemployed at Senase in Berekum East Municipal of the Bono Region. Inauguration of the project was held at Nafa junction, a farming community at Senase to usher in 17 trainees who will be undertaking the training in the tactics, practice and mechanism of organic farming for 4 months. Speaking at the ceremony, the Kyidomhemaa of Senase, Nana Owusu Fakyewaa appreciated the international body for their enormous support towards the livelihood of the vulnerable in society. BEREKUM EAST NPP WOMEN'S ORGANIZER DONATES 1000 NOSE MASKS TO HOLY FAMILY HOSPITAL. Women's organizer for the New Patriotic Party - Berekum East Constituency in the Bono Region, Mrs. Ernestina Asiedu Frimpong aka Efiritete has donated 1000 pieces of nose masks to Berekum Holy Family Hospital as part of her continuous support to fight covid-19. She distributed some of the masks to admitted patients at the emergency ward of the hospital. PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED MAN WHO SMASHED JUDGE'S VEHICLE IN BEREKUM CIRCUIT COURT HAS BEEN CHARGED. A 34 years old physically challenged man Kwame Clement who walks with an aid of a pair of crotches who smashed the wind screen, left door glass and left side mirror of a court judge in Berekum, His Honour Osei Kofi Amoako vehicle with his right crotch has changed with causing harm and damage to a property. The incident which happened on Wenesday morning around 9:30am at the court premises. The incidence led to adjournment of all proceedings scheduled for the day. A police officer assaulted and physically attacked by his own colleagues in Berekum over an alleged issues.

POLICE OFFICER ASSAULTED BY COLLEAGUES IN BEREKUM A Police officer with the Berekum Command in the Bono Region, Sgt. Yaw Apau has been assaulted by his colleague officers in Berekum. Explaining the unforeseen incident, Sgt. Apau could not point out what ignited the brutality but perceived it could be on personal grounds. He said there has been a relationship matters that has ensued between him and one of the officers which he believes led to his assault but that is not the right way to deal with a police officer even if something has gone wrong. According to him, he was detained at police cells yesterday from 10:00pm till today Saturday 7:00am. Sgt. Yaw Apau is therefore calling for justice as some of the officers are found of maltreating their colleagues in the Berekum police division.
