OMANHENE OF BEREKUM RECEIVES CHINESE SHANXI SIJAN GROUP CO LTD. CONSTRUCTORS.
As part of government's agenda to construct deprived roads in 2020, Berekum in the Bono Region has received it's share of this national agenda as 14km roads has been awarded to be constructed in the town.
The Omanhene of Berekum Traditional Area, Daasebre Dr. Amankona Diawuo II with his divisional chiefs received the constructors at his palace yesterday.
They louded thebPresident Nana Akufo Addo for fulfilling his promise made to them.
The delegation was led by MP of Berekum East Constituency Hon. Dr. Kwabena Twum Nuamah, MCE of Berekum East Municipal, Hon. Kofi Adjei and NPP Constituency Executives.

Shanxi Sijan Group Ltd, Mr. Yangi was introduced to the council.
Hon. Dr. Kwabena Twum Nuamah in his speech said "the government has finally listened to the cry of the people of Berekum and will construct 14Km roads. All processes for the contract agreement has been signed for the commencement of the project soon". The MP Commended, Osaberima Owusu Nsiah, a Council of State Member and Mawerehene of Berekum for releasing his vast land to the Contractor to used as a project site where machinery will be kept and Osaberima Okwakwan Kwabena Owusu the Wrempehene of Berekum also for releasing his house to the company where they will lodge.
Hon. Dr. Kwabena Twum elaborated the number of roads that has been captured to be constructed in the town including Berekum Kyerebaa, Sofokyere, Mpatasie, Water works Junction, Biadan to Senase link, Nana Gyaasehene link road and low price junction linking to Kyerebaa roads.
He again introduced a contractor who is to construct the Kato CHPs compound to Nananom for them to see the number of projects coming into the constituency.
The MCE of Berekum Municipal, Hon. Kofi Adjei also added that, the assembly will also enforced its by laws to support the project as decongestion exercise will be effected to remove unauthorized structures along the roads to pave way for the inner city roads construction in the town.
The Deputy CEO of Shanxi Sijan Group Co. Ltd, Mr. Yangi thanked the Traditional Authorities in Berekum for their kind reception and said he can see there is pressure in the town concerning the roads situation but promised to deliver quality works for the people of Berekum. The project is expected to be completed by the next 18 months. They later toured on all the roads that has been captured to be constructed in Berekum.

He then said because of the project coming, the traditional authorities will have peace in the town since the deplorable roads have given them sleepless night all the time. Daasebre Dr. Amankona Diawuo II also urged the contractor that they will give them all the necessary support to make them feel at home.
He finally advised the people of Berekum to also cooperate with the Chinese Company since the town have been waited for roads for a long time and all should support them to finish the project on time.
