Berekum Holy Family Hospital Appeals for X-Ray Machine over a faulty one.

NO X-RAY MACHINE AT BEREKUM HOLY FAMILY HOSPITAL

Berekum Holy Family Hospital in the Bono Region one of the Christian Hospitals in the region serving over 100,000 people both Ghana and other neighbouring countries is in die need of an X-ray machine to serve it's clients.

Speaking in an interview with Alrich24newsgh.com, the Administrator of the Hospital, Rev. Sister Reena V. John stated that, the facility is currently not providing x-ray services because their X-ray machine is not working hence forcing them to refer their clients to neighbouring facilities for their x-ray before they come back for treatment. Saying this is hampering delivery of quality health service at the hospital.

According to her, the faulty machine has been used for the past 10 years to support health challenges in all these years. She emphasized that they have tried repairing it but some of the parts broken down cannot be acquired in the country unless outside and is beyond their strength, explaining that, attempts have been made to replaced it with a brand new but the cost involved is something they cannot bear as a facility.

Rev. Sister Reena  V. John added that, the support of individuals and organisations will be very much appreciated, therefore appealed to other organizations such as Berekunmman Citizens Association, other philanthropic agencies and stakeholders to come to the aid of the hospital to procure a digital x-ray machine.

She said the lives of new born babies are very precious since the children are the future leaders of this country hence we should assist in their care all the time. She pleaded to the general public to help them acquire a Photothyrapy machine to care for the babies, Radiant Warmer and Patients Monitor Machine.

The Human Resources Manager of the Hospital, Mr. Peter Queque also added that Holy Family Hospital is doing its best to serve their clients all the time.

He said the challenges facing them cannot be solved alone by them but the public should assist them to run better health delivery services for the people. Adding that they have introduced e-folder at the hospital to monitor their clients folders which has reduced the rate at which patients queue for treatment at the hospital helping reducing time wasting.

He thanked all organizations supporting Berekum Holy Family Hospital in diverse ways to deliver quality services when it comes to health care in the Berekum Municipality and beyond.
