MCE of Berekum East accounts on developmental achievement of NPP in Berekum.

BEREKUM EAST MCE ACCOUNTS ON DEVELOPMENTAL PROJECTS The Chief Executive of Berekum East Municipal Assembly in the Bono Region, Hon. Kofi Adjei has today held meet the press encounter to highlight projects undertaken by the NPP government led by President Nana Akuffo Addo. According to the MCE, several projects have been undertaken in the municipality with over 25 completed in the three and a half years of stewardship since 2017 by the government of Ghana, and the meet the press encounter is a platform to account to the people of Berekum. Hon. NCCE HOLDS COMMUNITY SOCIAL AUDITING FORUM IN BEREKUM. The National Commission for Civic Education NCCE has held it's community social auditing forum at Akrofro in the Berekum East Municipal. The forum which was held on Friday, 28th August, 2020 was seek  to bring to bare accountability and auditing involving the participation of local community members in develepomt process. The Municipal Director of NCCE in Berekum, Mr. Michael Abina stressed the need of local members to participate in decision making that entails develepomt in their communities. He said the social audit forum was organized to enlighten citizens to be responsible and monitor all projects that will be excuted by the assembly. A 60 years old farmer shot dead at Jinjini

60 YEARS OLD FARMER SHOT DEAD AT JINIJINI.  A 60 year old farmer Kofi Amponsah has been shot dead at Jinijini in the Berekum West District of the Bono Region. Mad. Ama Konadu Confort, wife of the deceased explained that her husband went to farm yesterday but couldn't return so the family followed up to his farm at Danyame on the Benkwum kwanso where they found his liveless body.  She added that her husband did not have any issues with anyone and can't understand what led to his death.  She appealed to the police to investigate the matter and arrest the pepertrators who did this act to her beloved husband. The family of Kofi Amponsah could not hold their tears after they heard of the man's death at the family house.  The Assembly member for Jinijini Suntreso electoral area, Hon. BEREKUM ASPHALT ROADS COMMENCES WITH EXCITEMENT The people of Berekum have expressed excitement as 22km inner city roads project commence today Wednesday 26th August, 2020. They could not hide their joy when they saw Joshop Construction Co. Ltd overlaying asphalt on the inner city roads. BEREKUM EAST MCE OPENS A SOAP TRAINING PROGRAM AT SENASE BY BAC. The MCE of Berekum East Municipal in the Bono Region, Hon. Kofi Adjei has officially opened a 5 day training at Senase Emmanuel Church of Pentecost. Participants will be trained in black soap processing.  Hon. Kofi Adjei in his address, urged trainees to take the lessons serious. The training will be held at the Senase Church of Pentecost under the sponsorship of VIS Ghana an NGO, supported by the Catholic Bishops Conference of Italy in collaboration with the Municipal Business Advisory Center.   The head of VIS Ghana, Mr. John Paul encouraged participants to take advantage of the project and learn the soap making after which grants will be provided to them as a start up to begin their business.  Nana Owusu Fakyewaa, Kyidomhemaa of Senase added that, the soap production has come to stay at Senase and as the women have started learning the process in soap making, it will help in a long way to reduce poverty in the area. Berekum BESS and MESTECH receives brand new buses from government.

TWO SENIOR HIGH SCHOOLS IN BEREKUM RECEIVE BUSES.  As part of the government's commitment to boost educational standards in the country, the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu  Bawumia handed over the keys of 100 buses to some Senior High Schools with 250 more to be distributed upon arrival. Two Senior High Schools in Berekum; Berekum Senior High School (BESS) and Methodist Senior High and Technical School (MESTECH) had a share in the distribution.  The Municipal Chief Executive Officer of Berekum East, Hon. Concern Youth of Bono undertakes clean up exercise at Chiraa

(during the clean up exercise)  CONCERN YOUTH OF BONO UNDERTAKES CLEAN UP EXERCISE AT CHIRAA Members of Concern Youth of Bono on Saturday 1st August, 2020 embarked on a clean up exercise on the principal streets of Chiraa in the Sunyani West District of the Bono Region.  Speaking to Alrich24newsgh.com after the exercise, the Chairman of the Association, Pobi Ernest expressed gratitude to the people of Chiraa especially those who joined the campaign to make the streets of Chiraa clean.
