MENTAL HEALTH AUTHORITY TO PARTNER AN NGO FOR MORE SCIENTIFIC PROVE ON PERSONS WHO ARE BORN ON SPECIFIC DATES. A social group called Think About Mentally Challenge Person Near You, (TAmeC PenY) an NGO with the purpose of creating an awareness on people born on the 4th,13th, 22nd, and 31st day of every month irrespective of the year of birth to desist from the use of narcotic drugs of all kinds. JAPEKROM AND DROBO TO SMOKE PEACE PIPE - GOVERNMENT DELEGATION A three (3) member government delegation made up of 3 Members of Council State has been sent by the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo to the Jaman South Municipal of the Brong Ahafo Region to help resolve the traditionl disputes between the twin towns of Japekrom and Drobo which resulted in the death of three souls including a one year old baby. FORMER MP OF BEREKUM, HON. NKRABEAH EFFAH DARTEY, CUT SOD TO CONSTRUCT A CLINIC AT DOMFETE, BEREKUM. The Former MP for Berekum Constituency, who served as the Deputy Minister of Interior and  Deputy Minister for Local Government and Rural Development , Hon. Nkrabeah Effah Dartey, has cut sod to construct a clinic for the people of Domfete , in the Berekum West District. The former MP met the chiefs and people of the town to perform a sod cutting ceremony to start the construction of the clinic.  Hon. Effah Dartey expressed his joy during the ceremony  and he said “ after the construction of the clinic, the people of the area will meet their health needs”. BEREKUM YOUTH FOR ACCOUNTABILITY AND DEVELOPMENT CALL FOR PROPER GRADING IN BEREKUM ROADS A youth group in Berekum in the Brong Ahafo Region by name, Berekum Youth For Accountability and Development has expressed their displeasure on the grading and filling of potholes of Berekum roads and streets. According to the group, the contract of grading and filling of potholes was awarded by the Berekum Municipal Assembly headed by the MCE, Hon. Kofi Adjei but said the grading which started from Sofokyere  road and extended to other areas like Kyiribaa roads, Apraku quarters roads at Kato, Zaabo Zong roads and other parts of the municipality were not properly graded by the contractor. BEREKUM TRADITIONAL COUNCIL ACCEPT EIGHT GAZETTED CHIEFS

EIGHT (8)  CHIEFS OF BEREKUM TRADITIONAL AREA GAZZETED AS DIVISIONAL CHIEFS IN BEREKUM TRADITIONAL COUNCIL Eight (8) Chiefs of the Berekum Traditional Area have performed their oaths of secrecy to be gazzeted as the divisional chiefs of Berekum Traditional Council The chiefs , numbering 8 ,have got a title "Osaberima" added to their traditional names. The high court judge , Justice Baayeh, on the 6th November 2018 , led the chiefs to swear the oaths of secrecy before issuing the certificates of recognition . The chiefs have been gazzeted to be part of any sittings of the traditional council and by so doing , all the 8 chiefs , have been approved by the government of Ghana to be part of the judicial committee of the Berekum Traditional Council. BEREKUM WEST DISTRICT ASSEMBLY NEEDS MEDICAL OFFICER

BEREKUM WEST DISTRICT NEEDS SENIOR MEDICAL OFFICERS. Berekum West , a nine months old newly created district ,  in the Brong Ahafo Region , is in die need of medical officers to supervise the health activities and programs for the people in the district. Speaking to the Assembly Members,  at its maiden meeting, the District Chief Executive (DCE) Hon. Isaac Osei, in his sessional address , said, "the health sector in our district is  bedevilled with many challenges thereby jeopardizing our efforts to provide good and affordable health services to our people. The district has no medical officers to serve the population of about 79,656, he said." According to the DCE, the district capital, Jinijini can only boast of a health center and said, the physician assistant managing the facility has been posted from the center without a replacement. BEREKUM OMANHEMAA PROPOSE FOR DVLA OFFICE IN BEREKUM The Omanhemaa of Berekum Traditional Council in the Brong Ahafo Region, Nana Akosua Ameyaahene III, has proposed for a Driving and Vehicle License Authority (DVLA) branch office to be open in Berekum to serve the drivers in the Berekum Municipality and it's environs which always acquired their Licences from Regional DVLA office which is in Sunyani. Nana Hemaa did emphasized that, some towns like Dormaa Ahenkoro, Sampa, Seikwa, Suma Ahenkoro, Drobo, Nsuatre, Japekrom and other communities will be benefited from this office when opened, because all these towns traveled to Sunyani but, pass through Berekum before they will finally reach Sunyani for their Licences and other driving particulars acquisition thinking the cost and hurdles they go through for their acquisition processing.
