BEREKUMMAN CITIZENS ASSOCIATION PAY HOMAGE TO BONO REGIONAL MINISTER. The vibrant Association in Berekum which is seeking for the progress and development of Berekumman has Tuesday, 28th May, 2019 paid a courtesy call to the Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Mrs Evelyn Ama Kumi Richardson to welcome and congratulate her for being appointed as the first female Minister of Bono Region. Berekumman Citizens Association which is internationally recognized and headed by Global Chairman Rev. Kofi Kyere, have branches across the globe including America, Canada, Germany, United Kingdom, Italy, France, Spain, Demark, Belgium, Brazil, Australia, and many countries you can think of visited the office of the minister to appreciate her for her good works. The local Executives of the Association in Berekum with a team of delegation met the Regional Minister and presented to her the vision and objectives of the Association. BEREKUM AWREMPE ROYAL FAMILY GETS NEW KRONTEHENE - NANA ASOMA SABI

BEREKUM KRONTRE ROYAL FAMILY INSTALL NEW KRONTREHENE. The Krontire Royal Family of Berekum Traditional Area comprising of Awrempe, Senase, Abi, Kutre and Jamdede has on 27th May, 2019 installed Nana Asoma Sabi (I)as the Krontrehene of Berekum Traditional Area and for that matter to be the Berekum Senasehene. Nana Asoma Sabi (I) who was born in 16th August, 1955 is from Ayokuo family of Berekum and started his primary education at the Berekum Methodist Primary and Middle School and furthered at the Apam Senior Secondary School. He is a businessman and was formally working at the Department of Ghana Co-operative as a District Auditor. The installation of Nana Asoma Sabi (l)was made possible after the family kingmakers decided to install a new person for the position in Berekum due to a long protracted chieftaincy disputes between the former Krontirehene and the Omanhene of Berekum Traditional Area Dasebre Dr Amankona Dewuo II that was settled at the Supreme Court of Ghana

METHODIST DEVELOPMENT FUND SUPPORTS' BEREKUM METHODIST SENIOR HIGH AND TECHNICAL SCHOOL TEACHERS BUNGLOW RENOVATION

BEREKUM METHODIST SENIOR HIGH AND TECHNICAL SCHOOL GET SUPPORT FROM METHODIST DEVELOPMENT FUND. The Berekum Methodist Senior High and Technical School which is challenged with infrastructural deficit have been relieved by the Methodist Development Fund to support  infrastructural expansion in the institution. The school with a students population of about 1,624 is founded by the Methodist Church of Ghana and is located at Berekum-Biadan in the Berekum Municipality of the Bono Region. The Church development Fund has come to the aid of the school with a sum of GHC50,000 to renovate the Teachers' bungalow that got burnt this year, about four months ago. At the ceremony to present the cheque to the school, the Methodist Bishop of Sunyani Diocese in the Bono Region, Right Rev. Bishop Daniel Akwasi Tanoh  noted that, the cheque is coming from the Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church Ghana to alleviate the plight of the school, and this assistance is from the Methodist

BEREKUM HAS VOTED FOR NPP FOR THE PAST 19 YEARS BUT WITHOUT DEVELOPMENT - OMANHENE OF BEREKUM

BEREKUM OMANHENE CALLS ON GOVERNMENT FOR A QUICK START OF SINO-HYDRO ROAD PROJECTS IN BEREKUM. The Omanhene of Berekum Traditional Area, Daasebere Dr Amankona Diawuo II, has made a passionate appeal to the government of Ghana to quick-start Berekum inner city roads as   promised in the Sinohydro projects. The paramount chief made this statement during a visit to his palace by the Regional  Minister of Bono Region, Hon. Evelyn Ama Kumi Richardson and the Deputy Minister, Hon. Siaka Stevens to familiarize themselves with the chiefs and people of both Berekum East and West Assemblies. The chief said, the people of Berekum for the past 19 years have been voted solely for New Patriotic Party (NPP) but their share of national cake has not been forthcoming over the years, especially, their poor road network which have been neglected by  past governments. BEREKUM WOMEN CELEBRATES MOTHER'S DAY The NPP Women Organizer of the Berekum East Constituency of the Bono Region, Mrs. Ernestina  Ameyaa Aseidu aka Ataa Afie Efretete in the occasion of the mother's day celebration today has put marvelous joy in the faces of over 100 widows in the Berekum Municipality. The widows were given each a well packaged brand new clothe from the Women's Orginzer. Madam Attaa Afiah Efretete expressed that, though her mother was not alive to witness such a memorable day like this but if the world is celebrating mothers, she has to give out from her heart to the widows,  interact with them to put smiles and joy back on their faces. BEREKUM DIVISIOMAL POLICE COMMAND READY TO COMBAT AGAINST KIDNAPPERS

BEREKUM DIVISIONAL POLICE COMMAND HOLDS STAKEHOLDERS MEETING WITH ASSEMBLY MEMBERS. The Berekum Divisional Police Command in the Bono Region has today 6th May, 2019 has held a stakeholders meeting with the Assembly Members of both Berekum East Municipal and Berekum West District Assemblies respectively to deliberate with them on the issues of security in the two Assemblies particularly on the kidnapping ominous emerging in the country and the preventive measures to put in place to combat against it within the two Assemblies.
