QUEEN MOTHER OF TANTRA HILLS APPEALS FOR FIRE STATION AND FIRE TENDER AHEAD OF 2026 HOMOWO FESTIVAL. The Queen Mother of Tantra Hills, Naa Odaaley Dzoomo I, has appealed to the Government, the Ghana National Fire Service, corporate organizations, philanthropists, and other stakeholders to support the community with the establishment of a Fire Station and the provision of a Fire Tender to enhance emergency response and protect lives and property. The appeal was made during a media engagement held on earlier today ahead of the 2026 Tantra Hills Homowo Festival, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 1st August 2026, at the Family House in Tantra Hills. The Chief of Kato in the Berekum East Municipal of the Bono region , Osaberima Kwabena Diewuo Owusu II as part of his 10th anniversary celebration on his elevation as Kato Chief has handed over an ultra modern durbar grounds to the people of Kato. The lunching of the ultra modern durbar grounds attracted a host of dignitaries including traditional leaders, the clergy, business men, residents and stakeholders such as the Omanhene of Fiapre , Obrempong Prof. Okyem Amponsah , Nana Obuman Bofotia Boamponsem II , Krontihene of Sunyani Traditional Area as well some chiefs of Berekum Traditional Council were in attendance. Berekum Traditional Council Debunks Claims Of Successful Candidate to Occupy the Berekum Paramount Seat. The Acting Traditional Council President of Berekum Traditional Area of the Bono region, Osaberima Yeboah Dartey on Tuesday 19th August, 2025 has debunked a media publication by GhanaWeb on 18th August, 2025 claiming that the Chief of Senase and the Kontihene of Berekum, Osahene Asoma Agyeman Sabi II that, the traditional council has followed the due process in the selection of a successful and rightful candidate to be outdoor soon to occupy the paramount seat of Berekum Traditional Area after the demise of the late paramount Chief Omanhene Dasebre Dr. Amankona Diewuo II.
