Covid 19: Berekum Circuit Court discharged 10 Togolese Nationals of testing positive of Covid 19 as the court closes down for disinfections to be done.

The ten accused Togolese have been discharge by the Berekum Circuit Court who were remanded for an unlawful entery in to the country. The Berekum circuit court has been closed down for disinfections, since one of the accused persons have been tested positive of Covid19.   The National Security, the Police in Berekum in collaboration with the Bono Regional Minister has called for the case to be withdrawn from court so that the patient can be treated and contact tracing be done.  The presiding Judge, His Honour Osei Kofi Amoako has therefore discharged the 10 accused expatriates because of one person contracting the novel Corona virus. Sad News: 59 Years Old Man Found Dead in a River at Biadan in Berekum.

      59 YEARS MAN FOUND DEAD IN A RIVER AT BIADAN. A 59 years old unidentified man has been found dead in a river at Biadan a suberb of Berekum East Municipality of the Bono Region. The body which has decompose was retrieved from the river by the Ghana Police service in Berekum. The man was identified as Atta C.K but the cause of his untimely death is yet to known. The Assembly Member for Biadan East - Hon. Amo Apau Wonder said the man is suspected to have been in the river for some days now as his body is deteriorating. Members of the community could not understand how the body got into the river. Nana Kyeame Okra - one of the sub chiefs in the town performed a customary rite to purify the land from such an unforeseen incident having occurred. The rituals were done after retrieving the body. Berekum East Municipal Security Committee settles chieftancy disputes between Mpatasei Chief and Queen mother.

BEREKUM MUSEC SETTLES MPATASIE CHIEFTAINCY DISPUTES The Berekum EastvMunicipal Security Committee headed by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Osam Pinakor has cautioned the neglect of MMDCEs have towards the traders in the various markets in the country.                           Financial Institutions Chase Creditors amidst Covid-19. Some financial institutions in Berekum are after a number of traders in groups of 6 or 10 that accessed loans from them. The traders have defaulted and are being chased in spite of the pandemic. The traders invested the monies into their businesses which have yielded no results due to the covid-19 pandemic. According to them, some agreed on weekly installment whiles other on monthly payment terms.                                 BEREKUM EAST MP VISITS ISOLATION CENTRE. The MP for Berekum East Constituency in the Bono Region, Hon. Kwabena Twum - Nuamah who also double as the Chairman of the  Parliamentary Select Committee on Health has today 20th April, 2020 visited Holy Family Hospital to monitor the progress of work at the isolation Center sited at the hospital. The government in the fight against Corona virus selected the hospital fever unit as an isolation Center to combat the virus in the Bono Region. Hon. Dr. Kwabena Twum-Nuamah was welcomed by the hospital administrator, Rev. Sister Reena V. John and her management to assess situation at the hospital. BEREKUM EAST MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY REOPENS TWO MARKETS. The Berekum East Municipal Assembly has today reopened two of the three markets that were closed down yesterday. Kofi Adjei - the Municipal Chief Executive said, the directives to close down the markets was in line with measures put in place to allow traders observe social distancing in the various markets in Berekum. BEREKUM NATIONAL AMBULANCE SERVICE RECEIVE EXTRA AMBULANCE TO FIGHT COVID-19. The Ghana National Ambulance Service in Berekum Municipal of the Bono Region has received an extra ambulance to support the fight against Corona virus. Berekum East and West received two of the ambulances distributed by the government of it's one constituency one ambulance initiative. An extra ambulance has since been dedicated to fight corona virus within Berekum East, Berekum West, Dormaa Central, Dormaa East, Dormaa West, Jaman South, Jaman North and Tain constituencies.
