Fanteakwa South, Two Reportedly Drown In Nsuapem River. Domptey Bless, 21 years and Larbi Grant 23 years, all residents of Nsuapemso in the Fanteakwa South District of the Eastern region has met their untimely death today, Thursday 30th June, 2022. The two reportedly drowned in the Nsuapem river in the Nsuapemso community when they went for fishing from the river. Parents of the deceased revealed that, Domptey Bless and Larbi Grant left home this morning around 7:00am and later it was reported that they have drowned in the river. The two friends, Domptey and Larbi were known farmers in the community who farm together in the community.  They mortal remains of the two have been retrieved and has been handed over to the Ghana police service for postmortem. Amasaman Ashalaja Community Gets New Mosque. A new Mosque, financed by World League, a Muslim voluntary organization in Saudi Arabia has commissioned a mosque for Amasaman Ashalaja Community in the Ga West Municipal of the Greater Accra. The Chief Imams and Assembly man for the Ashalaja commended the donors for providing the Zongo community with the facility. The new Mosque could house 200 people which replaced an old one that was only accommodating 20 people.  Dr. Mohammed Bashir Adam speaking at the commissioning ceremony called on all well to do muslims to reach out to the needy in the society which Allah commands. He entreated Muslims to be law abiding and work hard to disband the notion that muslims are troublemaker whose stock in trade was hooliganism, adding that these were contrary to the teachings of the Quran. Asante Kotoko F.C Midfielder Stephen Amankona Honoured by Chief of Jinijini.

The Ghanaian professional football player of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Football Club, Stephen Amankona has been honored in his home town Jinijini in the Berekum West District capital of the Bono Region.  The player was highly welcomed to the town by the Chief of Jinijini, Nana Tutu Baffour Asare II, supporters of  Asante Kotoko FC, political leaders, Concern Citizens of Jinijini, and other dignitaries.  Jinijini Hene who Organized the event emphasized the need for the indigenous to support their hero to achieve a higher height in his career.  The event was full of fun to honor their industrious son Stephen Amankona as the chief charge on the youth in the town to emulate what Stephen Amankona has done in his football career.  At the ceremony was the Bono Regional New Patriotic Party (NPP) Women's Organizer, Madam Doris Asomah together with the Berekum West Constituency Executives Chairman, Peter Asomah Boampong was in attendance to support the hero's welcome of Stephen Amankona
