Berekum East MCE Commends Hannah Forkuo for Her Performance at the School Sanitation Solution Challenge 2023 Contest. The Municipal Chief Executive of the Berekum East Municipal of the Bono Region Hon. Kofi Adjei has thanked God for the successful journey Hannah and her team embarked to bring glory to Berekum Municipality and also commended Hannah Forkuo for the performance she displayed during the just-ended 2023 School Sanitation Solution Challenge that was held at the National Theater. The JHS 2 girl Hannah Forkuo is a student of Biadan Methodist JHS which was the former school of the MCE and she was placed third in the competition. Hon. Kato-Nentene Family Fights Berekum East Municipal Assembly Over a Re-develop Land at Berekum Roundabout. A number of Nentene Family Members at Kato in the Berekum East Municipal of the Bono Region are in cup and arms with the authorities of Berekum East Municipal Assembly over land that the Assembly has been earmarked for re-development for a car park close to the Berekum roundabout.  Speaking to Madam Joyce Addae Boakye who spoke on behalf of the family said, that the land that the Assembly wants to develop belongs to their family and they were not consulted for such a development on the land, meaning their land is taken from them as a family.   She explained that the said land around the roundabout was given to their forefathers Nana Baanie who later handed over the land to Nana Kwakye who was then serving the Berekum chief and the land has been in their possession till now.  According to her, the land has now been fenced for redevelopment but said the Assembly did not consult any me

A dilapidated structure that serves as classrooms for pupils of the Kukua M/A Junior High School (JHS) in the Suhum Municipality of the Eastern Region, risks collapsing if appropriate steps are not taken to salvage it. Although the students of the school authoritatively state that, the school authorities have written a letter to the Suhum Municipal Assembly to draw its attention to the school structure on several occasions the assembly have failed to act to be the situation. Wenchi Omanhene Promises to Develop Wenchi. The New Omanhene of Wenchi in the Bono Region Osagyefo Ampem Ani Amoapong Tabraku II has promised to develop and  make Wenchi an Agriculture Hub. According to him Wenchi can be boost of Farm Institute with over 500 students leaning agriculture related subject and they also have Crop Research Centre in with a vast land for future use hence he has plan to build Wenchi town to be the agric industrialization and agric hub. "My vision for Wenchiman is to promote Agriculture because agriculture is the key for the development of Wenchi", adding that he likes farming so he will do his best to promote faming activities in Wenchi. Berekum Citizens and Associates to Open Scholarship Account to Support Hannah Forkuo Over Her Performance at the School Sanitation Solution Challenge 2023. The leaders of Berekum Citizens and Associates who partly sponsored a Junior High School girl who attends Biadan Methodist JHS in the Berekum East Municipality of the Bono region has pledged to open an account for Hannah Forkuo who emerged third position at the National 2023 School Sanitation Sulution Challenge competition which organized by World Vision.
