Berekum Traditional Leaders Calls on Minister of Local Government and Regional Integration Over Abandoned Roads Ahead of the Late Omanhene's Funeral.  The Minister of and Local Government and RegionalIntegration, Hon. Dan Botwe has paid a working visit to Berekum East Municipal of the Bono Region to cut sod for the Construction of the 3rd phase of the Berekum Thursday Market project under the World Bank Government secured loan. He said Berekum has been traditionally named the golden city which formed part of 35 Municipalities in the country which will benefit from $200 million loan from the World Bank to uplift the standard of such Municipalities. West Akim District, Brekumanso Queen Mother and Residents Appeal for Basic Social Amenities. The Queen Mother of Brekumanso together with her Elders and Residents of Brekumanso in the West Akim District of the Eastern Region have appealed to the government to provide them with basic social amenities in the town. Wenchi Agriculture College Holds 4th Matriculation Ceremony. Wenchi Agriculture College on Friday, October 27,2023 matriculated it's 4th batch of freshmen and women of the two - year certificate programme and the one - year Vocational Agriculture programme for the 2023/2024 academic year. Principal of the College, Mr. Abdulai Mahamadu congratulated all fresh students who had gained admission into the college. He explained that the college have admitted a total of one hundred and sixty - six freshmen and women to pursue the duo programmes in the 2023/2024 academic year. Mr Abdulai Mahamadu added that one hundred and forty seven (147) of the number is pursuing two year certificate programme and nineteen (19) in the One year Vocational Agriculture Programme.
