Residents of Tamale pull down and burn LGBTQI+ Billboard. Barely a week that a billboard allegedly projecting the activities of LGBTQ+ was pulled down in Accra, a similar one has also been pulled down and burnt by some residents in Tamale, the northern regional capital. There has been ragging controversies over the passage of Private Members Bill which is currently before Parliament. Proponents of the bill are seeking among other things, criminalize LGBTQI+ advocacy in Ghana. The Assemblyman of the Moyabihi electoral area, Mr. Mutala Mohammed expressed worry over the erection of LGBTQ+ billboard in his electoral area. According to him, he never thought such billboard could be errected within his justification untill yesterday. Mr. Mutala mentioned that his electoral area is a Muslim populated Community and he doesn't understand why they choised to erect the billboard in the area.
