Omanhene of Berekum commits NPP and NDC to pledge for peace in 2020 elections.

OMANHENE OF BEREKUM COMMITS POLITICAL PARTIES TO SWEAR AN OATH OF PEACE.  The Omanhene of Berekum Traditional Area, Daasebre Dr. Amankona Diawuo II has called political parties in Berekum to swear an oath of peace towards this year's general election in the municipality.  The Omanhene tasked the two political parties Chairmen, their Parliamentary Candidates and Independent Candidate to pledge an allegiance of peace to the people of Berekum.  He charged them to sign the pledge of peace which they have committed to abide by before, during and after the elections in Berekum. Daasebre Dr. Amankona Diawuo II advised them to adhere to all the rules set out by the election security task force and what he has also given out to them to forgo all kinds of procession after their political rallies in Berekum to avoid any form of clashes that may arouse. Tipper truck crush two people dead on Techiman -Sunyani road.

TIPPER TRUCK CRUSH AND KILLED TWO PEOPLE AT THE SPOT. A tipper truck with the registration number BA 6245-18 has crushed two people to death on the Chiraa-Techiman road. The tipper truck which was coming from Sunyani to load sand from Ashiayemu crush the driver of the brand new tricycle bought at Techiman en route to Sunyani meet his untimely death.  The driver was trapped under the tipper truck when travelling on the Techiman-Sunyani road along with a pedestrians who happens to be walking at the spot of the accident was also killed together with another person who sustained injuries.   The bodies of the two deceased was deposited at the Sunyani government hospital morgue whiles the other person sustained injuries has been receiving treatment at the hospital. Queen mother of Asuakwaa celebrates 20th anniversary in a grand style.

ASUAKWAA QUEEN MOTHER CELEBRATES 20TH ANNIVERSARY TO RAISE FUNDS TO SUPPORT EDUCATION.   The queen mother of Chiraa-Asuakwaa in the Sunyani West Municipal of the Bono Region, Nana Akosua Bema II has celebrated her 20th anniversary of her enstoolment to the Asuakwaa throne. Nana Akosua Bema in her speech thanked God Almighty, the chiefs and people of the town for their support through all these years for a peaceful reign. She took the occasion to solicit for funds to reconstruct the death trap SDA primary school block in the town which has trained a lot of well known people of Asuakwaa. She emphasised on most of the progress they have achieved over the years, saying that, the Asuakwaa town has seen a progress in upgrade of electricity, tiled road, clinic during a time the people were attending Chiraa hospital for treatment.
