GACC, CDD-Ghana and TI-Ghana Holds Anti-Corruption Campaign on SARIS Project in Berekum East Municipal. Ghana Anti-corruption Coalition together with CDD-Ghana and Transparency International with support from the European Union has held a sensitization forum at Kato in the Berekum East Municipal of the Bono region. The anti-corruption forum was under the theme, "strengthening accountability, rule of law and institutional responsiveness in Ghana (SARIS) with the aim of broadening the knowledge of the Ghanaian citizens especially the young ones on corruption and its effects in nation building. Speaking under the theme, the focal person of Berekum Local Accountability Network, Mr, Simon Asore emphasized on the need for citizens to participate in the fight against corruption by ensuring we all put into practice the 3R's of corruption fight that is to Resist, Reject and Report all issues of corruption to bring the canker down. The newly inaugurated Chairman of the Board of Governors of Asuansi Technical Institute (ASUTECH), Dr. Patrick Essien, has called for urgent and strategic investment in the institution, describing it as the foundation of technical education in Ghana and a national asset that must be preserved and strengthened for future generations. Former Student of Serwaa Kesse Girls SHS Donates To Support Career Summit. The former Student of Serwaa Kesse Girls SHS, Naa Yeboah who doubles as the CEO of Richzion Pharmacy has donated different assorted items including boxes of dewormer to Serwaa Kesse Girls SHS in the Tano North Municipal of the Ahafo region. The donation was her support during a day's career summit organized by the Women's Commissioner of the National Service Personnel Association NASPA of Bono, Bono East and Ahafo region. Mrs Yeboah explained that, not all the students mostly girls are able to deworm as expected whiles they are in school there and decide to support the girls. The summit was to bring in the girls the confidence they need in choosing their career after completion of school. An International Day of Anti-corruption (IDAC) 2025 which was observed across the globe on 9th December, Citizens Watch Ghana in collaboration with the Ghana Anti-corruption Coilation (GACC) celebrated the day with school children at Jinijini Presby JHS and Methodist JHS in the Berekum West District of the Bono region. Ahmadiyya Junior High School in the Lambussie District celebrated the International Anti-Corruption Day on Tuesday, 9th December, 2025. Berekum LANet Advised School Children To Support The Fight Against Corruption. As part of the 2025 International Anti-Corruption Day, (IACD), Citizens Watch Ghana in partnership with Ghana Anti-Corruption Coalition (GACC) with support from the, European Union, GIZ, William and Flora Hewlett Foundation has embarked on an anti-corruption campaign to sensitize students against corruption. The program which was held in two different basic schools in Berekum East Municipal of the Bono region on Monday 8th December, 2025 included the Preby (A) JHS and Mpatasie M/A JHS respectively representing 250 students. The Executive Director for Citizens Watch Ghana and Focal Person for the LANet, Mr. Simon Asore in his welcome address urged the students to resist, reject and report all corrupt practices because it denies citizens of their needed development, making some people richer in society winding the poverty gap and denying the right people employment.
