The Youth Employment Agency has fulfilled its promise of providing financial and apprenticeship support to beneficiaries under its “Youth in Garment and Textiles” module which was launched in August this year. Blocks Moulding Standard Code Set By the Ghana Standard Authority (GSA) For Block Manufactures.  In life, shelter is one of the basic necessity for every human being thus why a standard has been set by Ghana Standards Authority (GSA) to guide sand crete block manufacturers and  building construction entities when making blocks for building purposes. According to the Ghana Standards Authority (GSA), every sandcrete blocks that we produce should be made of three kinds of raw materials that is, the cement, sand and water.  The sand according to the authority should be the kind of sea sand, river sand and pit sand but quarry dust can also be added to the other sand when the sand is too refine to be used to mould the blocks. Berekum-Namasua Cassava Farmers Crying Over Uncompleted Cassava Processing Factory Under 1D1F.  The Cassava Farmers at Namasua in the Berekum East Municipality of the Bono Region are crying over the delay of completing the cassava processing factory in the town initiated under the One-District-One-Factory (1D1F) of the Rural Enterprises Programme. The factory which is being funded by GoG, IFAD and AfDB when completed will provide employment to a number of youth in Berekum as an Enable Youth Factory as well as farmers going to benefit a lot from the factory.  Speaking to Alrich24newsgh.com during a visit to the factory site, the farmers siad, they were having the believe that the factory will soon be open for them to have access to process their harvested cassava which has been left in their farms to rot and without getting buyers who will buy it profitably.  According to the farmers, because the factory has been delayed in it opening, stray cattle has also taken advantage of their farm

National Petroleum Authority (NPA) Locks 3 Fuel Stations in Sunyani for Cheating on  Customers.  The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has locked three (3) filling stations for dispensing fuel less than the quantity the consumer pays for in Sunyani in the Bono Region.  The stations includes Frimps Oil at Penkwase, the Goil Filling station near Eusbett Hotel  and Engen Filling Station all in the Sunyani township.  In the case of Frimp Oil, all the seven dispensing units functioning at the time of the team visit were under delivering whilst Goil and Engen had two and four of their nozzles under delivering respectfully.  However, the NPA team observed that, some of the nozzles at these filling stations were dispensing the petroleum products more than what the consumer had paid for.  The random exercise was undertaken after the team led by Kwadwo Odarno Appiah and Eunice Budu Nyarko, the Bono Regional Manager and Consumer Services Manager respectively sensitized commercial drivers and tra

Techiman and Offuman Market Yam Sellers Bemoan of Low Patronage.  Rain, the only source of energy crops depends on and the countless rainfall in this year farming season has attribute  to a high yield of crops including yam has lead to abundant of food crops at various markets especialy at Offuman in the Teachiman North District of the Bono East Region of Ghana. The yams sellers at Techiman market and Offuman are complaining over low patronage of plenty of yams that has been harvested this year for sale in the market and according to the traders, their headache is that, they are not getting buyers for the yams which has been produced resulted into damage of yams. Some of the Yam traders also attributed the low patronage of their yams to frequent increase of petrol and  gas prices that has led to low patronage  of  yams in the market . Komenda Sugar Development Company Limited Produces First Ever Sugar After 6 Years of Closure.  The Komenda Sugar Development Company Limited (KSDCL) in the Komenda/Edina/Eguafo/Abirem Muncipality of the Central Region has started it's first operation of fine sugar.  The Company which was built by the NDC but couldn't produce any sugar as at that time but by the timely intervention of the NPP government to revamp the factory, it has produced currently 200 bags of sugar for the first day of production on Wednesday 10th August 2022, The factory was closed since 2016 but under the President Nana Akufo Addo one-district-one factory initiative, the factory has started it's operations of processing sugar to meet the demand of the economy. Tuabodom Local Gari Processing Workers Calls on Government for Support.  The workers of the local gari processing factory at Tuabodom in the Techiman North District of the Bono East Region of Ghana have called on the government to as a matter of urgency come to their aid.  Speaking to Mr. Peter Gbaedgo, the engineer at the gari processing factory who started the factory way back in 1973 explained that, since that time till date nobody including the government has visit them to support their business.  He said, the gari business has been assisting the women in the town for over the years including the farmers who are in cassava plantations in the area. According to the engineer who only support the women with his mill to process the gari stressed that, the factory lacks a lot of equipments and with little push, the factory will supply a lot of income to the women who have been working at the local factory for years to process gari to feed Ghanaians.  They therefore called on Ghanaians t
