NHIS Bono Regional Operations Team Storm Holy Family Hospital Over Alleged Reports

   NHIA BONO REGION OFFICIALS STORMS BEREKUM HOLY FAMILY HOSPITAL. The officials from the operations department of National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) in the Bono region were at the Berekum Holy Family Hospital (HFH) to have first hand information on allegations leveled against them for charging extra bills from clients who visit the facility with NHIS cards. According to the regional operations manager, Mr George Oppong Danquah, the authority has been informed that the Hospital is not abiding by the regulations governing the National Heath Insurance Scheme (NHIS). These include charging clients with extra bills rather than the mandated services they are to provide to the NHIS clients. BEREKUM WEST DISTRICT ASSEMBLY  DISBURSE ITEMS TO PERSONS WITH DISABILITY. Berekum West District Assembly in the Bono Region, has for the second time handed over items to persons with disabilities within the district. Those who did not benefit from the first batch of donations made three months ago received assorted items. The ceremony which was held at Abesase saw in attendance, Abesasihene Osaberima Krobia Asante Nkum. Items presented included brand new 2 chest freezers, neating machine, 2 sawing machines, haidresser equipments, head and hand dryers, provision goods,  farming inputs and spraying machine. Speaking at the occasion, the District Chief Executive, Hon. Isaac Osei said the presentation is made in batches to ease beneficiaries in transporting items received. Five communities including Abesase, Tewababi, Adom, Kraso and Amankwakwaa were all beneficiaries. No Ashanti Regional Ghana Garages Association Elections will come on due to injunction place on it.

ASPIRING ASHANTI REGIONAL CHAIRMAN OF GHANA GARAGES ASSOCIATION PLACE INJUNCTION ON REGIONAL ELECTIONS. One of the aspiring chairmen of the Ashanti Regional Ghana National Association of Garages has placed an injunction on an upcoming elections of the association in the region. Briefing the media,  Mr. Robert Ayeteh who is currently the zone 31 chairman of the association and also the CEO of Ayerteh Alignment and Aircontion Service in Kumasi, has been disqualified from vying as a regional chairman. According to him, he has being a zonal chairman for the past 5 years and qualifys to contest for the regional position as a chairman but he has been prevented by the outgoing executives. WIDOWS WHO ARE REJECTED IN GHANA ARE CRYING FOR HELP The patron for Face of Widows Association a non-governmental organization; Apostle Gyasi Richard has advised the world to seek first the welfare of widows by offering them the needed support. Speaking at a meeting of widows held today at Jamdede in the Berekum West District of the Bono Region, he said, "it is time for all and sundry to join hands and support widows in times of difficulties and challenges as most of them are being rejected in the country. He said, most of these windows are faced with health and financial problems but no one will be there for them. According to Apostle Gyasi, most of them have been rejected by their own family and have no one to turn to for helping hand. No one cares about their daily needs. B.E.M.A DISBURSE ITEMS TO PERSONS WITH DISABILITY. The Berekum East Municipal Assembly in the Bono Region has disbursed items worth about Ghc49,000.00 to 32 people with disability in the municipality. Presenting the items to the beneficiaries,  the MCE of the Assembly, Hon. Kofi Adjei explained that it is government's initiative to support the physically challenged in the society by providing items that will better their living. He emphasized that the stated amount form part of the 3% of the Assembly's common fund meant for the physically challenged in the society and this is the second time in the year that they are being supported with such a relieve items. Bush Hunters Disturbing Activities of Berekum-Fetentaa Tomatoes Farmers

GAME HUNTING IS DISTURBING TOMATO FARMING ACTIVITIES AT BEREKUM - FETENTAA. Fetentaa, a farming community which is now booming economically in tomatoes farming in the Berekum West District of the Bono Region of Ghana, has attracted the attention of buyers from neighboring Bukina Faso, Niger, Cote D'ivoire and other parts of African countries. However, the farmers are complaining bitterly about the activities of the game hunters during the broad daylight.
