Covid 19, CPP Chairman of Berekum East fires MMDCE's over neglect of market women in Covid 19 fight.

BEREKUM EAST CPP CHAIRMAN FIRES MMDCEs

The Chairman of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) in Berekum East Constituency of the Bono Region, Hon. Osam Pinakor has cautioned the neglect of MMDCEs have towards the traders in the various markets in the country.

According to him, the traders ate those who contributes towards the generation of Internally Generated Funds (IGF) of the various assemblie but they have turned their back to their activities these abnormal times. "These traders have not been provided with logistics to fight covid-19; no sanitizers, no nose marks, no Veronica buckets, etc have been provided to them to fight the spread of the virus thoroughly.

He challenged traders to stop or put on hault in paying taxes to the assemblies if these basic logistics are not provided. "Traders in Berekum especially should avoid paying their daily income tax" he added because to him non of such materials have been given out to the traders.


A one time Best Farmer in Berekum - Maame Yaa Badu on the other hand added that, farmers should also not be left out in the fight against Covid-19. She has called on authorities in Berekum to provide Veronica buckets at vintage points where farmers can observe the hands washing with soap discipline to help stop spreading of the virus.

She said farmers are also doing their best to serve the nation with their farm food stuffs yet their welfare has been neglected when it comes to the fight of Covid 19.
