Pastor Screens Mobile Phones of Church Members in Berekum

APOSTLE OF PENTECOSTAL WORD CHAPEL SCREENS MOBILE PHONES OF CONGREGANTS The founder and leader of Pentecostal Word Chapel in the Berekum Municipality of the Bono Region, Apostle Gyasi Richard  has screened the mobile phones of members of his church to find out the kind of videos and pictures saved on their mobile phones. Speaking on the theme "The Challenges of Today's Youth and How To Overcome them", he pointed out that most of youth are going through challenges of education, unemployment, peer pressure, poverty and juvenile deliquesce. According to the man of God, these challenges are as a result of what they have saved on their mobile phones which have influenced their lifestyle in a negative way. BEREKUM TRADITIONAL COUNCIL ABOLISHES INVOCATION OF CURSES AND IMPOSES GH1,000.00 FINE ON CITIZENS WHO WILL INVOKED CURSE (DUABO) The Berekum Traditional Council headed by the Omanhene of Berekum Daasebre Dr Amankona Diawuo II together with the Omanhemaa Nana Akosua Ameyaahene III with all the Nananom has passed a resolution on Berekum citizens to stop invoking curses (duabo) in the town. According to Nananom, Berekum has been bedeviled with curses and it's implications are high and therefore they have decided to put a stop to it to eradicate all evil curses from the town. The entire Traditional Council agreed on a consensus that henceforth no citizens of Berekum will be allowed to invoke a curse on any fellow citizen and culpits will not be spared by Nananom if caught. PRAGIA PASSENGERS SHOULD NOT PAY GHC1.50 FARES AS CHARGED BY TRICYCLE RIDDERS IN BEREKUM - MCE. The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Berekum Municipal Assembly in the Bono Region Hon. Kofi Adjei has today negotiated on behalf of the people of Berekum to prevent the operators of pragia tricycles to increase their fares from Ghc1.00 to Ghc 1.50 in the Municipality. Speaking in an exclusive interview with alrich24newsgh.com, he said the operators don't have the right to increase the fares without first consulting the Municipal Assembly because it was the Assembly that gave them the permission to operate in the city. The MCE emphasised that their operations have been fairly unregulated thereis still the need for them to have patience with the fare increase for the right thing to be done. BEREKUM MUNICIPAL NADMO INAUGURATES DISASTER MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. The Berekum Municipal National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) of the Bono Region has inaugurated the Municipal Disaster Management Committee to help curb disasters in the Municipality. The Committee which is chaired by the MCE of Berekum, Hon. Kofi Adjei, comprises of all the departmental heads in the Municipality including NADMO Director, MP, Director of Health, Education, Police Commander, District Fire Officer, Information Officer, Environmental Officer, Planning Officer, Social Welfare Officer, Assembly Member and the media.
