BEREKUM EAST MCE OPENS A SOAP TRAINING PROGRAM AT SENASE BY BAC.
The MCE of Berekum East Municipal in the Bono Region, Hon. Kofi Adjei has officially opened a 5 day training at Senase Emmanuel Church of Pentecost. Participants will be trained in black soap processing.
Hon. Kofi Adjei in his address, urged trainees to take the lessons serious. The training will be held at the Senase Church of Pentecost under the sponsorship of VIS Ghana an NGO, supported by the Catholic Bishops Conference of Italy in collaboration with the Municipal Business Advisory Center.
The head of VIS Ghana, Mr. John Paul encouraged participants to take advantage of the project and learn the soap making after which grants will be provided to them as a start up to begin their business.
Nana Owusu Fakyewaa, Kyidomhemaa of Senase added that, the soap production has come to stay at Senase and as the women have started learning the process in soap making, it will help in a long way to reduce poverty in the area.
She explained that, the project is seeking to train over 1000 people in the soap production at Senase.
The logistician of VIS Ghana Mr. James Wood also said, the core mandate is to eradicate poverty from the society through skills oriented businesses to enable the people in Berekum and for that matter Bono Region to acquire skills to support their livelihood.
Madam Esther Twum Baffour, the leader at Business Advisory Center in Berekum concluded that the collaboration with VIS Ghana will help a lot of people in the Berekum Municipality.
