Berekum Omanhene commends President Nana Akufo Addo and MP, Dr. Nuamah for 22Km asphalt roads construction.

BEREKUM MANHENE COMMENDS PRESIDENT AKUFO-ADDO FOR 22KM ASPHALT ROADS.

The incumbent MP of Berekum East Constituency in the Bono Region, Dr. Kwabena Twum-Nuamah on Wednesday 22nd July, 2020, introduced Joshop Construction Co. Ltd to the Berekum Traditional Council as contractors for a 22km asphalt roads in Berekum.

Berekum has over the years, suffered poor road network and their cry has finally earned them 22Km asphalt roads from the President.

The MP in his announcement took the opportunity to introduce the contractor to Daasebre Dr. Amankona Diawuo II for the commencement of the project.

Dr. Nuamah explained that there has been a halt on Sino Hydro project of which Berekum inner city roads were captured due to covid-19 pandemic but  a lot has been done to ensure the road construction commence.
The Omanhene of Berekum, Daasebre Dr. Amankona Diawuo receiving the contractor, expressed his sincere appreciation to President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo and the MP, Dr. Kwabena Twum-Nuamah for fulfilling a promise made to the people of Berekum at long last.

Daasebre added that together with the people of Berekum promise to support the contractor to finish the project.

Some of the dignitaries present were NPP Parliamentary candidate elect-Berekum East, Mr. Nelson Kyeremeh, Divisional chiefs, Queen mothers, Berekum East NPP constituency executives among others.

25-Year-Old Young Man Electrocuted in Berekum . A suspected thief by the name Oboshie in his 25 years has been electrocuted at Berekum Nyamebekyere in the Berekum East Municipal of the Bono region . According to eye-witnesses, the suspected thief's lifeless body was found on the food vendor metal container as he attempted to steal from the container of the vendor who operates in a metal container. His death attracted a crowd of the Berekum people to the scene on the street of Nyamebekyere as everyone wants to catch a glimpse of the deceased over the incident of frequent robbery attacks and stealing in the Municipality.
