BEREKUM WOMEN CELEBRATES MOTHER'S DAY

The NPP Women Organizer of the Berekum East Constituency of the Bono Region, Mrs. Ernestina  Ameyaa Aseidu aka Ataa Afie Efretete in the occasion of the mother's day celebration today has put marvelous joy in the faces of over 100 widows in the Berekum Municipality. The widows were given each a well packaged brand new clothe from the Women's Orginzer.
Madam Attaa Afiah Efretete expressed that, though her mother was not alive to witness such a memorable day like this but if the world is celebrating mothers, she has to give out from her heart to the widows,  interact with them to put smiles and joy back on their faces. The widows celebrated the mother's day with a round of pleasure as they fetted, with assorted foods and drinks from Madam Attaa Afiah Efretete.
The MCE of Domi-Kwabrenya in the Greater Accra Region, Hon. Janet Tulasi Mensah also congratulated all women on this special occasion as they are being celebrated. She encouraged the widows to do all their best to support their children in education especially to send their children to school to enjoy the free SHS program from the government.
In today's mother's day celebrations, the Berekum branch of Aglow Fellowship International also celebrated with the mothers in Berekum at the Berekum Emmanuel Presbyterian Church. They feted the mothers who came to the gathering at the church. The women were advised to stand firm in their faith in Christ no matter the challenges of life. The Aglow Fellowship International leaders commended the Omanhemaa of Berekum Traditional Area, Nana Akosua Ameyaahene III for her hard work to transform the Berekum city. They encouraged her to keep up with the good works to support women in Berekum and prayed for her to be able to continue her goos works.
The Omanhemaa of Berekum Traditional Area, Nana Akosua Ameyaahene III who graced the two occasions at the NPP Women's Orginzer Mother's Day and the Aglow Fellowship International Mother's day celebration respectively urged the women to be patient in their childrens' upbringing and training. She advised them to avoid evil words they declare on their children which could normally have negative effects on them in the future.
The Omanhemaa said, mothers are special and behoves on them to take good care of their children. She explained that, mothers should always stand and fight for their children to secure better future for them.
Nana Akosua Ameyaahene III promised the women that come next year, Mother's in Berekum will be celebrated in a grant style. She thanked the Aglow Fellowship International for the citation they presented to her.
The mother's who took part of the occasion expressed their excitement at the experience,which came to them as a big surprise.They thanked the organizers, especially Madam Attaa Afiah Efretete and also the Aglow Fellowship International in Berekum.
The representatives of Berekumman Citizens Association who was present also expressed their congratulated message of wishing all the Mother's in Berekum well for such a great day like the mother's day. The Association emphasised that, mothers are important in child care and development. The Association took the opportunity to thank and blessed the Omanhemaa of Berekum Traditional Area, Nana Akosua Ameyaahene III, for all her support and contributions towards the Association to make it vibrant in Berekum. The Association encouraged the Aglow Fellowship International to keep up with such a memorable day like this to always bring the women of Berekum together and thanked the fellowship for the award given to the Omanhemaa.

NSOATRE TRADITIONAL COUNCIL CONDEMNS THE VIOLENCE ACT THAT RESULTED THE DEATH OF KOTOKO SUPPORTER. The Nsoatre Traditional Council has condemns the uncouth behavour of some of the football fans that led to the untimely death of an ardent supporter of Kumasi Asante Football Club.  According to Nsuatre Traditional Council this  unfortunate behaviour happened on the stool land of Nsoatre which the council sees as unfortunate due to the cordial relationship between Nsoatreman and Asanteman which is dated back to 1740.
