WE NEED GOOD ROADS IN BEREKUM

BEREKUM YOUTH FOR ACCOUNTABILITY AND DEVELOPMENT CALL FOR PROPER GRADING IN BEREKUM ROADS

A youth group in Berekum in the Brong Ahafo Region by name, Berekum Youth For Accountability and Development has expressed their displeasure on the grading and filling of potholes of Berekum roads and streets.
According to the group, the contract of grading and filling of potholes was awarded by the Berekum Municipal Assembly headed by the MCE, Hon. Kofi Adjei but said the grading which started from Sofokyere  road and extended to other areas like Kyiribaa roads, Apraku quarters roads at Kato, Zaabo Zong roads and other parts of the municipality were not properly graded by the contractor.
The Public Relations Officer for the association, P.Y. Kyeremeh said, the time has come for the people of Berekum to enjoy better roads therefore if first class roads has not been constructed, there must be a well graded roads for the people in the municipality to enhance free flow movement of vehicles and pedestrians.
They stated that, the Municipal Assembly should supervised and monitor the contractor grading the Berekum town roads.
They said, if the contractor cannot put up his best to deliver a better and quality road grading in the municipality, they will not allow the shoddy works to continue.
They called on the Berekum Municipal Assembly to be up and doing as well as stakeholders in the municipality to be all involving for the progress of Berekum.
