Berekum Senior High School '98 Year Group Donates Computers to Alma Mater.

Education, they say is a bedrock of every society therefore the 1998 year group of the Berekum Senior High School in the Berekum Municipal of the Bono region has donated a set of computers and it's accessories to their alma mater.

At the gathering to present the items, the old students numbering over 30 presented 10 computers, ups, printer and among others to the school to help reduce the technology deficit facing the school.

Speaking on behalf of the old students, Madam Benedicta Odame Appiah emphasised the need for the 98 year group to present their widow's mite to support their former school, because in this 21st century, information telecommunication technology has become very essential.

She challenged the students to motivate themselves and believe in themselves to also dream higher to ensure they aspire to their future aspirations.

She added that, with time, they have a plan to support the school when the need arises and also challenged her colleagues old students to come to the aid of their alma mater.

Mr Kwaku Danso, the headmaster of the school, receiving the items on behalf of the school thanked the '98 year group for their support, at a time when the school was in need of computers.

He explained that, what they have received will be in good use because ICT is now a full course under the new curriculum and what they have received has relieved the school.

He again implored the other old students to also come to the aid of the school especially at this time the school has increased in it's enrollment but has very few furnitures to support the number of students in the school and other things they may need.
