Nkoranza North: Busunya SDA JHS Wins NCCE Independence Day Quiz Competition.

The National Commission for Civic Education in Nkoranza North in the Bono East Region has organised quiz and Independence Day Constitution Game Competition at Busunya SDA Central Church on the 10th March for basic schools.


The event, organized by the National Commission for Civic Education Nkoranza North and sponsored by the head office in Accra, brought together four schools in the Busunya town district to promote civic awareness and education among pupils. 


The participating schools were Busunya SDA JHS, Busunya Methodist JHS, Busunya Anglican JHS, and Busunya Roman Catholic School Junior High School.


The NCCE director for Nkoranza North in the Bono East Region, Mr. Richard Duncan, in his speech during the inauguration, emphasized the importance of instilling civil responsibility in Ghanaians through basic schools. 


According to him, civic education is essential for the development of responsible citizens who can contribute positively to the growth and development of Ghana.


Mr. Richard Duncan laments that recently, patriotism and sacrifice are gradually losing their value in Ghana due to poor advocacy and civic education. 


He said this situation has prompted his call to rekindle civic education for the betterment of the country and its citizens.


The Nkoranza North NCCE director commended the National Secretariat for sponsoring the event, citing its significant contribution to the development of responsible citizens in the district. 


The Constitution Game Competition tested the pupils' knowledge of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana, civic rights, and responsibilities. 


The competition was divided into several rounds, with questions ranging from easy to challenging.


The pupils demonstrated a good understanding of the constitution and civic issues, showcasing their critical thinking and problem-solving skills.


After a keenly contested competition, SDA JHS Busunya emerged as the winner, demonstrating exceptional knowledge and understanding of the constitution and civic issues. 


The school was awarded prizes and certificates, and the pupils were commended for their outstanding performance.


The competition brought about a sense of fun and excitement among the participants, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere. 


Moreover, the event promoted unity among the participating schools. The pupils interacted with each other, shared ideas, and learned from one another, creating a memorable experience that would last a lifetime.


Speaking after the competition, he said the 68th Independence Day Constitution Game Competition was a resounding success, achieving its objective of promoting civic awareness and education among pupils.

NSOATRE TRADITIONAL COUNCIL CONDEMNS THE VIOLENCE ACT THAT RESULTED THE DEATH OF KOTOKO SUPPORTER.
