Begoro Welcomes New Chief, Daasebre Mireku Afari II, with Hopes for Development.

A new chapter has begun for the people of Begoro as Daasebre Mireku Afari II, was officially introduced as their new Begorohene, Fanteakwahene and the Okyeman Benkumhene in a significant ceremony witnessed by prominent figures of the Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Council.


The event, held in Begoro, marks the end of a period without a substantive chief and ushers in an era of anticipated progress and unity. The enstoolment of Daasebre Mireku Afari II carries significant weight, elevating him to the third most senior position within the esteemed Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Council.


As the Okyeman Benkumhene, he will play a vital role in the administration of the state, serving as a key figure in leadership, particularly in the absence of the Krontihene and Omanhene.




The citizens of Begoro have warmly embraced their new leader, expressing strong confidence in his ability to serve with dedication.


Speaking to Alric24nrwsgh.blogspot.com news reporter Apelete Kofi-Michel, Daasebre Mireku Afari II conveyed his sincere gratitude to the Okyenhene Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin and the entire traditional council for their support. He pledged to uphold the rich traditions of the land while leading with humility and unwavering dedication to the welfare of his people.


In his address, Daasebre Mireku Afari II clearly articulated his vision for Begoro, emphasizing a strong commitment to development initiatives aimed at improving the lives of all residents. He highlighted critical areas requiring immediate attention, including the urgent need for a nursing training college, the rehabilitation of dilapidated roads, the upgrading of substandard hospital facilities, and the provision of potable drinking water.


Begoro faces numerous challenges, Daasebre Mireku Afari II stated.  My priority is to work tirelessly with all stakeholders to address these issues and ensure a brighter future for our community. He further assured the public of his commitment to transparent and accountable governance, vowing that resources would be managed for the collective benefit of Begoro.




The community is now eagerly anticipating the grand public outdooring of Daasebre Mireku Afari II, scheduled to take place at the Begoro debour grounds. This event promises to be a momentous occasion, offering both residents at home and those abroad an opportunity to officially welcome their new chief in grand style and demonstrate their unified support for the dawn of a new era for Begoro.


On his part, Fanteakwa North MP, Hon. Kwame Kodua also expressed his joy for the new king and promised to collaborate to work together for the development of the area.
