Massive demonstration to hit Sunyani over lack of development.

MASSIVE DEMONSTRATION TO HIT SUNYANI OVER LACK OF DEVELOPMENT.

Accra based Angel FM/TV a subsidiary of Angel Broadcasting Network (ABN) on its 24th June 2021 edition of 'Anopa Bofoo' has proposed a massive demonstration for the people of Sunyani against the retrogression of the capital town of the Bono Region.

The morning show program hosted by Kofi Adoma Nwanwanii, highlighted issues like the Regional Library being abandoned for over 18 years without any reshape, malfunctional streets lights along the principal streets in the town, among others.

It was revealed that a Sunyani Airport which was under construction for upgrade has also been abandoned with the contractor off-site. Reports have it that the contractor left due to lack of funds from the government.

Kofi Adoma speaking to Righteous, a reporter at Cheers Fm confirmed that Sunyani over the years is not progressing and that most of the roads are in deplorable state including a ring road in the city.

Faulty traffic lights at Sunyani SSNIT has been causing accidents and claiming lives which nothing has been done to fix it, he added. They brought to bare that no developmental projects such as road networks, modern market facilities have been undertaken in the town.

Above all, the popular Sunyani Coronation Park which has bred most of the Ghanaian players has seen less infrastructure development.

The Angel Tv/Fm morning show team then quizzed "where are the leaders in Sunyani and what are they doing?"

They then pledged their support towards any massive demonstration that will be staged by people of Sunyani against the leaders in the town, be it political leaders, traditional authorities, chief executives officers to press home their demands for development to see Sunyani is brought back to its original name; "the Cleanest city in Ghana".
