The Techiman North District Physical Planning Office, Mr. John Obeng Mensah at the court presided over by His Lordship Alexander Graham, explained that all efforts to reach the chief to stop developing on the said piece of land and to obtain a building permit prove futile but rather intensifies the development on the land.

His Lordship Alxander Graham upon hearing the case on 23rd June 2021, at the court put  Nana Bossman into police custody and later granted him bill. He adjourned the case for a judgement to be held on 8th July, 2021.

Mr. John Obeng Mensah further took the opportunity to advise a lot of Ghanaians who build without obtaining the right building permits is against the law of the land and urged developers to always obtain the right permit.

He therefore caution the public against such actions to avoid being arrested to face the law and be prosecuted.

He added that, lands on waterways have been developed and government lands have been build upon by individual developers without seeking proper permits which has been the caused of most flooding problems the country is facing.
