BOK Africa and VIS Ghana creating jobs to reduce illegal immigration in Ghana.

BOK AFRICA CONCERN BREAKS GROUND TO CONSTRUCT WAREHOUSE AT NANA OWUSU FAKYIWAA SOAP FACTORY. 


BOK Africa Concern in collaboration with Volontariato

 Internazionale Per Lo Sviluppo (VIS) have break grounds to construct a warehouse at the Nana Owusu Fakyiwaa Soap Resource Centre at Senase in the Berekum East Municipality. 


The two agencies built a black soap processing factory in 2020 and now supporting it with a warehouse.  

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, the representative of VIS Ghana, Ms Silvia Tizzi, unboxed that the factory was sited in Berekum to create jobs for the skilled and unskilled youth in Berekum and its environs to help reduce illegal migration in the region. 


Mr Benson O.S. Boateng; representative of BOK Africa established that the warehouse when completed will serve as a storage facility for raw materials and furnished products for distribution and marketing. 

He explained that the black soap factory at Senase will coordinate black soap distribution and it's supply in the Bono, Bono East and Ahafo Regions. More importantly, the factory will train people in the black soap production value chain among the people in these regions, he added.


The MCE of Berekum East Municipal Assembly, Hon. Kofi Adjei commended the two organisations for their contribution towards the reduction of the unemployment rate in the country and urged them not to relent in undertaking more of such projects in the country. 


He added that the government cannot solely create jobs and that other private organisations should emulate BOK Africa and VIS to transform Ghana. 


The queen mother of Senase, Nana Adwoa Takyiwaa on behalf of the people of Senase thanked the two agencies for their kindest contribution to create jobs to support the youth and people of Senase. 


She, therefore, advised the youth in the town to take advantage of the project to acquire skills for their livelihood. 


The groundbreaking ceremony was supervised by Hon. Kofi Adjei MCE of Berekum East, Nananom of Senase Traditional Council, Nana Owusu Fakyiwaa, Ms Silvia Tizzi, Mr Benson O.S. Boateng  a representatives from VIS Ghana and BOK Africa Concern respectively as well as the team members from both organisations and witnessed by the people of Senase.

The announcement of the demise of the Berekum Traditional leader was done today Friday 9th June 2023 by the chief spiritualist of Berekum Nana Komfo Kofi who was asked to take care of the health of the paramount chief but on his announcement, the paramount chief could not make it but joined his ancestors. Dasebre Dr Amankona Diawuo II was a doctor by profession and an active Church elder of the Church of Pentecost who serve the people of Berekum with calm and peaceful leadership who seek to maintain peace and unity after 17 years of chieftaincy dispute during his reign as the paramount chief of Berekum. A Student of Ghana National College from Sunyani-Chiraa Scores 8A's in 2023 WASSCE.  A Senior High Student of Ghana National College in Cape Coast, Owusu Peprah Priscilla who hails from Chiraa in the Sunyani West Municipality of the Bono Region has also scored 8A's in the West Africa Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).  Her effort and the results she obtained have brought great joy to her family and the people of Chiraa without hesitation wishing her congratulations on most of the social media platforms. She started her basic education at Solomon Bennet Memorial School in Sunyani from her infancy.  Priscilla's family and well-wishers are appealing to the government as a matter of urgency to help ensure the right course of study will be offer to her at her tertiary education level.
