WIDOWS WHO ARE REJECTED IN GHANA ARE CRYING FOR HELP

The patron for Face of Widows Association a non-governmental organization; Apostle Gyasi Richard has advised the world to seek first the welfare of widows by offering them the needed support.

Speaking at a meeting of widows held today at Jamdede in the Berekum West District of the Bono Region, he said, "it is time for all and sundry to join hands and support widows in times of difficulties and challenges as most of them are being rejected in the country.

He said, most of these windows are faced with health and financial problems but no one will be there for them.

According to Apostle Gyasi, most of them have been rejected by their own family and have no one to turn to for helping hand. No one cares about their daily needs. These challenges are some of the reasons there is a need to bring all widows together and support them.

The co-funders of Face of Widows, Pastor Mrs. Gyasi Bridget and Mrs. Anastasia Amponsah also advice Ghanaians to support any widow that may be identified in their vicinity since there are many of them who go through hard times.

They said the association has plans of giving some of them vocational training and financial startup to eliminate poverty from their lives.

They then called all hands to be on deck in their quest for eliminating poverty from the lives of widows as God caution us to care for the widow.

They appealed to individuals and organizations to support the face of widows to sustaine the idea of supporting widows.

Some of the widows also expressed their plight concerning their challenges and even said at times find it difficult to get food to eat. Others also confirmed that, they have been ejected from their place of abode and left stranded.
