Berekumman Citizens Association Executives both Ghana and Abroad have today toured Berekum West District to farmilize themselves with the ongoing projects the DCE, Hon. Isaac Osei has undertaken to support the citizens of the newly created District of the Brong Ahafo Region.
The Association Global Coordinator based in United Kingdom UK, Mr Kofi Adani and Denmark Branch Chairman of the Association, Mr. Thomas Obeng together with the Association's local Executives in Berekum today 19th February, 2019 paid visit to the hard working DCE of Berekum West. The DCE expressed his appreciation to see the Association's Executives coming to his office to find out the progress of work in the 6 months old District. Hon. Isaac Osei said even though he was appointed into office in the last year September 2018,  he has achieved a lot to support the people in Berekum West.
He explained that, he first decided to tackle water issues at Ayimom and Koraso to provide them with a mechanized borehole. This has been done. As a new District he saw that most of the roads were very rough and planned to grade all the major roads in the district to make them accessible as well as streets and other linking roads. He said over 200 streets bulbs have been distributed to Assembly Members and Nananom to be placed at other points to beautify their towns. He again said, though the assembly common fund is not enough but he and his team have to manage with it to support the people with social interventions. Hon. Isaac Osei talked about his preparedness to manage sanitation situation in the district. He has been able to evacuate over 80 years refuse dump at Jamadede as well as the one at Jinjini post office in his efforts to minimize sanitation issues in these areas. He said, quite apart from these two refuse dumps, he has another plan to remove another huge one at Jamadede just behind the Jamdede Hene's house.
The Association again paid visit to NPP party Executives of Berekum West Constituency who are taking care of the MP's projects.  The party chairman, Hon. Peter Boampong also took the Association through some of the projects the MP Hon. Kwaku Agyenim Boateng has also committed himself to do to support the people in the Constituency.
The Association Global Cordinator Kofi Adani also encouraged the DEC as well as the MP to keep doing more to help the people in the district as well as the Constituency respectively.

The Omanhene of Berekum Traditional Area in the Berekum Municipal of the Bono Region Dasebre Dr Amankona Diawuo II has passed on. The announcement of the demise of the Berekum Traditional leader was done today Friday 9th June 2023 by the chief spiritualist of Berekum Nana Komfo Kofi who was asked to take care of the health of the paramount chief but on his announcement, the paramount chief could not make it but joined his ancestors. Dasebre Dr Amankona Diawuo II was a doctor by profession and an active Church elder of the Church of Pentecost who serve the people of Berekum with calm and peaceful leadership who seek to maintain peace and unity after 17 years of chieftaincy dispute during his reign as the paramount chief of Berekum. A Student of Ghana National College from Sunyani-Chiraa Scores 8A's in 2023 WASSCE.  A Senior High Student of Ghana National College in Cape Coast, Owusu Peprah Priscilla who hails from Chiraa in the Sunyani West Municipality of the Bono Region has also scored 8A's in the West Africa Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).  Her effort and the results she obtained have brought great joy to her family and the people of Chiraa without hesitation wishing her congratulations on most of the social media platforms. She started her basic education at Solomon Bennet Memorial School in Sunyani from her infancy.  Priscilla's family and well-wishers are appealing to the government as a matter of urgency to help ensure the right course of study will be offer to her at her tertiary education level.
