BEREKUM TRADITIONAL COUNCIL TO ESTABLISH BEREKUM DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE

The Berekumman Citizens Association a one and half year old Association of both Ghana and Abroad Citizens of Berekum Traditional Area with social inclined minded to transform Berekum, has had an exclusive meeting with Berekum Traditional Council.
The Omanhene and Omanhemaa, Dasebre Dr. Amankona Dewuo II and Nana Akosua Ameyaahene III together with the traditional council met with the Association's Executive to see the way forward as far as the development of  Berekum is concerned.

 Dasebre Dr. Amankona Diawuo II welcomed Berekumman Citizens Association and encouraged them to keep on with the developmental projects to bring greater change in Berekum.
The Omanhene expressed that, he has seen all the projects the Association is doing be it boreholes, health screening, clean up exercises, incubator donations, education support and other things.
He said he has seen that the Association has Berekum at their hearts therefore will involve them in Berekum Development Committee, a new Committee the Traditional Council is yet to establish to seek the welfare, progress and development of Berekum Traditional Area.

Berekumman Citizens Association presented their scope of projects they have prepared to  the council. The Association called for Nananom support to provide them with a parcel of land to build an ultra modern toilet.
Mr. Osei Agyemang aka  Agyapasei  one of the Executive said, the old structure of the current toilet of Berekum main station is not in good shape which the Association thought it wise to redesign it to build an ultra modern one to improve sanitation standards at the Berekum lorry station.
The Denmark branch Chairman of the Association, Mr. Thomas Obeng also added that, if Nananom will give them the permit for the construction of the modern toilet, it will change the face of Berekum when it comes to sanitation especially at the city center. He said the Association has been surrendered with gold diggers, as members accross the world are ever ready to support to construct the ultra modern toilet facility in Berekum.
The Global Coordinator of the Association, Mr. Kofi Adani aka Borga One who is based in United Kingdom (UK) also expressed that the Association is financially sound to construct an ultra modern toilet facility  for Berekum. He said the financial backbone of the Association is strong enough as members across the globe are ever ready to support Berekum's development to redeem the name golden city back.

Dasebre Dr. Amankona Dewuo II commended the Association for all their help towards Berekum development and it's progress. He said because the Association approached the Nananom to release a parcel of land at the main station to them for redevelopment of ultra modern toilet, he and all the Divisional chiefs personally visited the location of the current main station toilet which for him, Berekum is fast advanced to deserve an ultra modern toilet therefore  together with Nananom is ready to give out the land for the Association to build the modern toilet.

He advised the members of the Association to keep their promise according to what they have planned to do for the city. Dasebre advised them to document all that they have said to represent what they have called for to be supported.
