Berekum East MP answers the cry of the needy in some Berekum communities as he supply free nose marks and sanitizers.

NPP MP ANSWERS THE CRY OF THE NEEDY IN SOME BEREKUM COMMUNITIES. Most people in smaller communities in the Berekum East Municipal of the Bono Region have smiled after receiving free nose masks and hand sanitizers from the NPP women's Organizer who made the donations on behalf of the MP of Berekum East Constituency, Dr. Kwabena Twum-Nuamah. Mrs. Enestina Frimpong Aseidu, affectionately called Efiritete, on behalf of MP Dr. Twum-Nuamah has shared over 2000 free nose masks and hand sanitizers to people living in smaller communities in Berekum, the project which was sponsored by the MP of Berekum East Constituency, Dr. Kwabena Twum-Nuamah. The nose masks have been in a high demand by the people in some communities such as Mpatapo, Kutre No 2, Mpatasie, Kotaa, Pepaase amongst others which have benefited from this gesture. NPP WOMEN'S ORGANIZER DISTRIBUTES FACE MASKS IN BEREKUM The Berekum East Constituency Women's Organizer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Mrs. Enestina Asiedu Frimpong also known as Efiritete has distributed face masks to communities in Berekum East Constituency to fight the spread of Covid-19. She seized the opportunity to also educate the communities on the preventive protocols given by Ghana Health Service. Residents of Kotaa, Akrofro, Mpatasie, Pepaase and some markets in Berekum benefited from her kind gesture. Speaking to them, she made it known that the only way to overcome the virus is regular hand washing with soap under running water, application of hand sanitizers, observing social distancing and wearing of face mask. Mrs. Frimpong made a passionate appeal to parents to keep an eye on their children and teach them to follow all the preventive protocols in order to stay safe from the virus. Zongo youths will not be seen anymore in political violence according to Berekum East NDC caucus coordinator.

ZONGO YOUTHS ARE NO MORE POLITICAL VIOLENT. The Berekum East Constituency Zongo Caucus Coordinator of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alhaji Nurudeen Osman popularly known as Oto has bemoamed that gone are the days that Zongo youth were being used for electoral violence. An astute football administrator Nana Baffour Gyima Collins has shared as part of his contribution towards the fight of Covid 19 over one thousand pieces of approved nose masks to the people and traders at the Berekum Main Station in the Bono region. CEO OF MIDDLE BELT DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY INSPECTS BEREKUM RAWLINGS MARKET PROJECT.  The CEO of Middle Belt Development Authority, Hon. Joe Danquah has inspected an ongoing market project in Berekum of the Bono Region under one million dollars per constituency initiative.   The Berekum Rawlings market sheds which was started over a year ago has reached 80% completion.  The CEO was welcomed by the Member of Parliament for Berekum East Constituency, Hon. Two MP's and 13 others tested positive for Covid 19

Two MP's and 13 parliamentary staff test positive for COVID 19. Two members of Ghana’s Parliament and 13 staff of the lawmaking chamber have tested positive for COVID-19 after results of voluntary testing requested by the Speaker trickled in, Starr News has learnt. It is unclear the identities of the affected MPs. Starr News sources say the results started coming in from last week. Following the development, the Speaker has ordered for mandatory testing of all staff and members of Parliament. The move is to ensure effective contact tracing since MPs interact among themselves often. The Speaker has however assured the results of the testing will be highly protected. The Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana is taking measures to compile a new voters register to be used for the 2020 General elections. The mandate of conducting an elections in the country has been given to the EC, the sole body to handle elections in Ghana.
