JINIJINI HENE COMMENDS BEREKUM WEST MP AS HE CUT SOD FOR DRAINAGE CONSTRUCTION. The Chief of Jinjini, the  District Capital of Berekum West District in the Bono Region, Nana Tutu Baffour Asare II has pledge to support the MP of Berekum West at a sod cutting ceremony of a drainage construction works at the Jinijini market by the MP who also double as the Deputy Minister of Railways, Hon. Kwaku Agyenim Boateng. The cost  of the project according to the MP is amounting to the tune of Gh2,000,000.00 and will be completed within a period of six months. The Jinijini Hene in his speech to commended the MP for the work done for the people in the Constituency, he said, what the MP has done for them needs to be seen by all and should be allowed to continue with the good works come 2020. BEREKUM THURSDAY MARKET TO SEE FACELIFT AS MP CUT SOD TO CONSTRUCT BRICKS PAVING. The Bono Region Commercial City which is Berekum to be precis, weekly satellite Thursday Market is to see a facelift to be revamped the entire grounds as the MP of Berekum East, Dr. Kwabena Twum Nuamah cut sod for the commencement of the pavement bricks construction in the market. According to the MP, he made a promise to the market women to pave the floor of the market to help the free flow of movement in and around the Yawadadwom. ANOTHER THEFT HIT GRIDCo SUBSTATION IN BEREKUM AS POWER CABLES CUT AWAY BY THIEVES. Bearly two months old GRIDCo substation that was constructed by Skipper Ghana Limited (SkipperSeil) an Indian Company in the Berekum Municipality of the Bono Region which distributes electricity power to the people of Berekum, Dormaa Ahenkro, Nkrankwanta, Wamfie, Drobo, Japekrom, Sampa and other surrounding towns have been affected by different kinds of thefts leading to the gradual collapse of the operations of the substation. The latest and serious robbery that has hit the substation is that, thieves have entered the yard and cut off the power cables of the standby M15 Transformer at the substation. BEREKUM SENOIR HIGH SCHOOL OLD STUDENTS (BESSOSA) DONATES TO THEIR ALMA MATER The 2001 year group of the old students of the Berekum Senoir High School (BESSOSA) in the Berekum Municipality of the Bono Region has donated to their former school a 6 brand new streets lights to support the school of their dark environment. Presenting the bulbs to the school, one of the old students who also double as the assembly member for Berekum Ayakorasi-Dominase Electoral Area, Hon. Charles Owusu, explained the motive behind the donation and said that, this is just the beginning of the old students who completed 2001 to help influence others who have passed through the school to return what the school have done for them to support it. Serwaa Kesse  Girl's Senior High school in the Tano municipality (Duayaw Nkwanta) of the newly created Ahofo Region has donated various kind of items estimated to be an amount of fifty thousand Ghana cedis to the female inmates of the sunyani prisons. The Headmistress of the school, Madame Doris Cobbinah presenting the items with the students, admonished the inmates to seek the face of God as they  are serving their respective sentence years . She again advised them to obey their officers  as they train and reform them at the prison camp. PRESIDENT AKUFO-ADDO CUTS SOD FOR TAMALE INTERCHANGE; LAUNCHES $2 BILLION SINOHYDRO DEAL The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has launched the $2 billion Government of Ghana – SinoHydro Master Project Support Agreement (MPSA), and also cut the sod for the construction of the Tamale Interchange, the first interchange in the northern sector of the country. According to President Akufo-Addo, Ghana, through a barter arrangement, will have US$2 billion worth of priority infrastructure projects delivered across the country, in exchange for the delivery of Ghanaian manufactured aluminium products to Sinohydro.
