BEREKUM THURSDAY MARKET TO BE RENOVATED BY MP

BEREKUM THURSDAY MARKET TO SEE FACELIFT AS MP CUT SOD TO CONSTRUCT BRICKS PAVING.

The Bono Region Commercial City which is Berekum to be precis, weekly satellite Thursday Market is to see a facelift to be revamped the entire grounds as the MP of Berekum East, Dr. Kwabena Twum Nuamah cut sod for the commencement of the pavement bricks construction in the market.
According to the MP, he made a promise to the market women to pave the floor of the market to help the free flow of movement in and around the Yawadadwom.
He said, though this is the beginning to bring change to the Thursday market but the renovation works will last only for a month. He explained that, quite apart from what he has started in the market, Berekum has also been selected for a secondary city projects which will also add more inputs into the market redevelopment.
The Global Coordinator of Berekumman Citizens Association, Mr. Kofi Adane aka Borga One, who witnessed the sod cutting ceremony thanked the MP for the idea to redevelop the market. He urged the MP to fulfill all his promises made to the people of Berekum East. He also advised the contractor to complete the project in time as he has promised to complete it within one month period.
The head of the Market Women at the Thursday Market, Mama May, also thanked the MP for supporting the women because she said, during raining seasons the women finds it difficult to walk in the market as they do their market activities.
The ceremony was witnessed by the NPP party executives including the Chairman Kwaku Kamkam, Secretary Mr. Hands Asoma, Women's Organizer Madam Attaa Afiah, Organizer, Youth Organizer, Treasure, Deputy Youth Orginzer and other party faithfuls in the Berekum East Constituency.

NSOATRE TRADITIONAL COUNCIL CONDEMNS THE VIOLENCE ACT THAT RESULTED THE DEATH OF KOTOKO SUPPORTER. The Nsoatre Traditional Council has condemns the uncouth behavour of some of the football fans that led to the untimely death of an ardent supporter of Kumasi Asante Football Club.  According to Nsuatre Traditional Council this  unfortunate behaviour happened on the stool land of Nsoatre which the council sees as unfortunate due to the cordial relationship between Nsoatreman and Asanteman which is dated back to 1740.
