Berekum Traditional Council Receives Mini Bus from NPP Flagbeare Dr. Bawumia as Donation.

Dr. Mahmud Bawumia as part his campaign tour to Berekum in the Bono region on Friday, 11th October, 2024, promise to provide the Berekum traditional council a mini bus after the chief placed a request on him.

The flagbeare through his vice presidential candidate, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh has handed over a mini bus to the Berekum Traditional Council to fulfill the promised made to the traditional council during his tour in Berekum.

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh urged the chiefs and people of Berekum to help vote for NPP come December 7th general elections and will offer the chiefs the opportunity to participate in the political landscape in the country to enable the chiefs to be part of governance when NPP comes to power.

The acting traditional council president, Osaberima Yeboah Dartey II on behalf of the traditional council expressed his appreciation to Dr Bawumia in fulfilling his promise made to the traditional authorities in Berekum, adding that Berekum's glory depends on NPP and Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh should not neglect the people of Berekum when the party comes to power.

The Queen Mother of Berekum-Kato who also doubles as the Wrempehemaa of Berekum Traditional Area, in the Berekum East Municipal of the Bono region, Nana Afia Siraah Ababio III has reintroduced a traditional games and plays at her community to rebuild the lost akan culture of our traditions to inculcate in the young children between the ages of 6 and 17 years in Berekum and its environs. Sunyani East, Kotokrom-New Dormaa Tarred Road Gets Second Seal. The ongoing construction of the major road of the New Dormaa-Kotokrom road in the Sunyani Municipality of the Bono Region which was recently primer sealed for the final seal started today Saturday 16th March. 2024 to complete the one-sided of the road. Government has intention of asphalting that high way in the near future. For the mean tine it is being tarred to prepare grounds for an asphalt overlay. The contractor has hinted an immediate move to the other side of the road after the sealing works is completed.
