Nkoranza Traditional Council Opens 2024 Yam Business Season.

The Nkoranza Traditional Council together with the Nkoranza Market Queenmother, Hajia Damass, has performed traditional rites to begin the 2024 new yam sales and use in the Nkoranza traditional area of the Bono East Region.


This ceremony that has been observed has paved way for the production, purchase and selling of yams in the Nkoranza market.


The event, which took place in this month of June 11, 2024, was attended by hundreds of residents, including traditional authorities, religious leaders, market women and yam users.


The rite was conducted through pouring of libation by the traditional leaders as well as prayers offered by a pastor.


Oheneba Agyei Baffoe, the Ankobeahene of the Nkoranza traditional council, advised marketers to adhere to market regulations and seek peace and urged the market women and men to desist from bad propensities.





The Queenmother of the traders also urged the market women to follow the laid down rules and regulations associated to their business and expressed gratitude to the traditional and religious leaders for their involvement to open the yam business season for 2024.

NSOATRE TRADITIONAL COUNCIL CONDEMNS THE VIOLENCE ACT THAT RESULTED THE DEATH OF KOTOKO SUPPORTER. The Nsoatre Traditional Council has condemns the uncouth behavour of some of the football fans that led to the untimely death of an ardent supporter of Kumasi Asante Football Club.  According to Nsuatre Traditional Council this  unfortunate behaviour happened on the stool land of Nsoatre which the council sees as unfortunate due to the cordial relationship between Nsoatreman and Asanteman which is dated back to 1740.
