Asantehene Pays Historic Visit to Ga State and Calls On Ghanaian Chiefs to Unit as He Donates Ghc500,000 to Fund Education in Ga State.

Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has paid contributed an amount of GHc500,000 as a seed money to fund an educational endowment fund in Ga state in a special historic visit to Ga state and the Ga Mantse, Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II on Sunday 9th June, 2024 to honour Ga Mantse for the love shown Otumfuo during his 25th anniversary celebration.


The Otumfuo visits to Ga Mantse has rekindles the long held relationship that has exited between the Asantehene and the Ga Mantse some 78 years ago.


Speaking at the Ga Mantse's Palace, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II recalled that, Asantes and Gas, Fantes and Northerners which among other tribes are all one people, saying with unity the nation Ghana can develop and the development of the country behoves on all the chiefs for the progress of the next generation.


He continued that, only the chiefs can work together and in that can bring development to the people since the chiefs are not mandated to collect taxes but can work together to bring development to their respective jurisdictions.


Otumfuo Osei Tutu II in his speech commended Ga Mantse for the love he shown him and the people of Ga during his 25th anniversary celebration in Kumasi for more than one week.


Asantehene prayed for a peaceful cohesion among the Ga chiefs to work with Ga Mantse which can lead to development in the area.




Otumfuo Osei Tutu II highlighted on the importance of education and out of his benevolence donated an amount of Ghc500,000.00 to support Ga Mantse to help him institute an educational endowment fund to support the needy but brilliant students in the Ga state.

The visit drawn most of the Ga state chiefs to the event including Ministers of state, the Clergy and among other people from Ghana and diaspora.

Sunyani East, Kotokrom-New Dormaa Tarred Road Gets Second Seal. The ongoing construction of the major road of the New Dormaa-Kotokrom road in the Sunyani Municipality of the Bono Region which was recently primer sealed for the final seal started today Saturday 16th March. 2024 to complete the one-sided of the road. Government has intention of asphalting that high way in the near future. For the mean tine it is being tarred to prepare grounds for an asphalt overlay.
