JAMAN SOUTH DISTRICT OF THE NATIONAL HEALTH INSURANCE SCHEME WAS THE TOPMOST BEST IN 2023.

The sixteen (16) best most performing District Managers across the six(16) Regions in Ghana. 


The Municipal Manager of National Health Insurance Authority in the Jaman South, Mr Maxwell Mahama is grateful to the Almighty God for the wisdom, courage and boldness he has granted him and the staff for emerging as the best District in the Bono Region and represented the Bono Region in the five(5) days Health Policy Analysis programme at the University of Ghana Business school, Legon campus. 


Out of the ten (10) national health insurance schemes in the Bono Region,  it is a pleasure and honour to be the topmost manager and together with my collaborative and hardworking staff, we emerged as the best District for the year ended 2023.


I thank all the key actors within the national health insurance ecosystem for making it possible for the Jaman South District of the NHIS, most especially, the providers and all NHIS subscribers to emerge as the best District in terms of Membership Registration and population penetration of the Universal health coverage.



I say that national health insurance schme is a national asset and all the key stakeholders or actors should do their best to sustain it. 


I really thank the good old Professor, Abeka Nkrumah, the head of department at the University of Ghana Business School, legon campus for the intensive knowledge he has impacted in all the sixteen (16) best performing District Managers from the sixteen regions.


The National Health Insurance Authority, right from the Board, the Cheif Executive Officer, the Management, the organisers of the five days capacity building programme,  God richly bless you.


Finally, I thank Mr Joseph Mensah, the Bono Regional Director of the National Health Insurance Authority for his support to all the District managers and for his sense of good leadership. 


I thank the operations department, MIS Department, the HR department, the Accounts department as well as  all the Bono Regional staff of the NHIA for the support they give to the Jaman South District office and all the other nine(9) District Offices.

NSOATRE TRADITIONAL COUNCIL CONDEMNS THE VIOLENCE ACT THAT RESULTED THE DEATH OF KOTOKO SUPPORTER. The Nsoatre Traditional Council has condemns the uncouth behavour of some of the football fans that led to the untimely death of an ardent supporter of Kumasi Asante Football Club.  According to Nsuatre Traditional Council this  unfortunate behaviour happened on the stool land of Nsoatre which the council sees as unfortunate due to the cordial relationship between Nsoatreman and Asanteman which is dated back to 1740.
