Optometrist Advises People on Presbyopia, A Common Eye Problem Affecting 40 Years and Above Ages.

An Optometrist Dr. Smith-Mensah at the St. Ignatius Eye Center in the Berekum East Municipal of the Bono Region of Ghana has extended a word of advice to Ghanaians on a common eye problem named presbyopia.


Speaking in an exclusive interview, Dr Smith explained that, presbyopia has been affecting a lot of people between the ages of 40 and above years but it can occur as early as 35 years.  


He said presbyopia occurs in the eye of every individual at these ages when one finds it difficult to read in close range from a book, phone, computer or any other readable material somewhat far from the eye.


Dr. Smith called on the public to seek medical consultation to treat their eye for presbyopia.


He therefore advised that no one at the age of 35 or 40 years can run away from presbyopia henece we should seek an eye doctor's advice.


He charged the public to take care of their eye since your eye is your light in life and presbyopia can be treated.

Sunyani East, Kotokrom-New Dormaa Tarred Road Gets Second Seal. The ongoing construction of the major road of the New Dormaa-Kotokrom road in the Sunyani Municipality of the Bono Region which was recently primer sealed for the final seal started today Saturday 16th March. 2024 to complete the one-sided of the road.
