Berekum Citizens and Associates to Open Scholarship Account to Support Hannah Forkuo Over Her Performance at the School Sanitation Solution Challenge 2023.

The leaders of Berekum Citizens and Associates who partly sponsored a Junior High School girl who attends Biadan Methodist JHS in the Berekum East Municipality of the Bono region has pledged to open an account for Hannah Forkuo who emerged third position at the National 2023 School Sanitation Sulution Challenge competition which organized by World Vision.


Hannah who represented the schools in the Nortnern sector managed to secure the 3rd position of the contest after her submission and was in her plans to lead the program organizers to build an ultra-mordern toilet facility in her school since the school do not have a toilet facility for the children to have a place of convenience. 



Speaking to some of the leaders of Berekum Citizens and Associates ahead of the contest, Chairman Wofa Henneh, Finacial Secretary, Rev Akandi, Amanda Obour, Atta Danso Asiedu and Abegail Sika expressed their joy to see Hannah Forkuo the feet she has chalk to lift the image of Berekum.


They pledge after the contest to ensure an education endowment fund is created to support Hannah Forkuo for her future endeavors and to also motivate most of the children in Berekum to take their education very seriously in the future to lift the image of Berekum higher as Hannah has done.



With the people who persistently supported Hannah Forkuo to help her emerge as winner in the contest incluMember Memeber of Parliament of Berekum East Constituency gave an amount of Ghc5000.00, Chief of Biadan Nana Kofi Ambarbeng Kyeremeh, Biadan Queen Mother Nana Akosua Dansowaa and sub-chiefs supported Ghc2000.00, Headmistress of Methodist Senior High and Technical School authorities Mrs Monica Oforiwaa Ghc500.00, Mr Danso from Germany Ghc500.00, COP RTD Nana Asoma Henneh as well as the Berekum Citizens and Associates heavily supported the glory of the contest to help Hannah Forkuo to win the contest but in all manage to secure the third position of the competition. 


A well wishcongratulatoryratulated messages were sent to Hannah Forkuo and her team especially the teacralliedwho rally behind her to reach the grand finale of the school sanitation solution challenge 2023.

EIGHT (8) CHIEFS OF BEREKUM TRADITIONAL AREA GAZETTED AS DIVISIONAL CHIEFS IN BEREKUM TRADITIONAL COUNCIL. A number of eight (8) Chiefs in the Berekum Traditional Area have performed their oaths of secrecy to be gazetted as the divisional chiefs of Berekum Traditional Council. The chiefs, numbering 8, got their titles as "Osaberima" to be added to their traditional and rulership names. A high court judge, Justice Baayeh, on the 6th day of November 2018, led the chiefs to sworn in the oaths of secrecy before a certificates of recognition was issued to the chiefs as a divisional chiefs. The gazetted 8 chiefs has been granted the opportunity and right to be part of any sittings of the traditional council and by so doing, all the 8 chiefs have been approved by the government of Ghana to be part of the judicial committee of the Berekum Traditional Council. Berekum Katohemaa reinntroduces Traditional Akan Games for Children at Kato Community.
