SUNYANI SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL (SUSEC) CROWN WINNERS OF THE 2023 NATIONAL DEBATE CHAMPIONSHIP.

Sunyani Senior High School (SUSEC) in the Bono Region as part of the preparation to mark the annual Independence day celebration in the country has been crowned winner of the  66th National Debate Championship in Ho, in the Volta region.


Sunyani Senior High School, SUSEC, as nicknamed, did well and started at the District level to beat all the schools they met at the District level in the Sunyani Municipality of the Bono region and represented the district at the regional level and won and became the Bono regional champions.


The school debate team again continue to beat all 8 schools in the Northern sector to represent the schools in the Northern sector in the national competition.


In their quest to win the National Championship, SUSEC finally met Mfatsiman Girls Senior High School which represented the Southern sector in the grand finale and beat Mfatsiman Girls and was crowned the National Champions for the 2023 National 66th Independence debate Competition for the second time, a title they won in 2005.


Speaking to Mr Osei Marfo, the headmaster of the school commended the school's team for the hard work to win the competition and also thanked the old students association for their support up to this far to enable them to become the champions.


He, therefore, assured that the school is seriously preparing for this year's National Maths and Science quiz competition after this victory and promised they will not relent in going for the trophy when given the opportunity to contest.


He concluded that, as the school's slogan holds "me man nti.....enye me anti" so shall they continue to shine on the education ladder to project the image If the Sunyani Senior High School.

NSOATRE TRADITIONAL COUNCIL CONDEMNS THE VIOLENCE ACT THAT RESULTED THE DEATH OF KOTOKO SUPPORTER. The Nsoatre Traditional Council has condemns the uncouth behavour of some of the football fans that led to the untimely death of an ardent supporter of Kumasi Asante Football Club.  According to Nsuatre Traditional Council this  unfortunate behaviour happened on the stool land of Nsoatre which the council sees as unfortunate due to the cordial relationship between Nsoatreman and Asanteman which is dated back to 1740.
