ICGC ACCRA ADENTA HOLY GHOST TEMPLE DONATES INCUBATOR TO BEREKUM HOLY FAMILY HOSPITAL

As part of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) 35th anniversary celebrations, the Adenta Frafraha branch of the Church, Holy Ghost Temple in the Greater Accra Region in collaboration with the Berekum branch of ICGC, Rohi Temple has on Tuesday 26th March, 2019 donated a brand new incubator to the Holy Family Hospital in Berekum of the Bono Region to help reduce neonatal death among the preterm babies.
Presenting the incubator to the hospital, Prophet  Christopher Yaw Anno, the head pastor of the Holy Ghost Temple emphasised that, ICGC has planned to donate one incubator to each region in the country but said Holy Family Hospital receiving this presentation was through the efforts of the Omanhene of Berekum Traditional Area, Dasebre Dr. Amankona Dewuo II, the appeal he made to Prophet Christopher Yaw Anno at the time the hospital was celebrating it's 70th anniversary that the hospital was in need of incubator to save lives.
Prophet Anno said, the church has started a nationwide campaign calling individuals and organizations to support the life saving initiative of neonatals to bring back our future leaders to life.
He said, in so doing we will keep our premature babies alive to save the country hence, the church plans to give every region one incubator.
According to Prophet Yaw Anno, the church as part of their social responsibilities, has presented an amount of Ghc230,000.00 to the Ghana Health Authority for the purchase of Electro Convulsion Tharapy Machine for the treatment of mental health patients which the three major mental hospital in the country are going to benefit from such an initiative.
He said ICGC is doing all that they can when it comes to health matters of the people in the country. He said, the church has already presented one incubator to Kintampo government hospital and another one in Berekum.
He said, Holy Ghost Temple is to ensure that social intervention needs of the people are met and because of that, they have built and commissioned a 6 bedroom teachers bungalow and a 3 unit classroom blocks at Kintampo North District of the Bono East Region.
He said JHS block and a staff common room including a computer laboratory has been constructed in the Kintampo North which 30 computers and a printer have been given to the school.
Prophet Christopher Yaw Anno together with the leaders of the church handed over the incubator to the Management of the Holy Family Hospital. He again advised them to practice maintenance culture to make good use of the equipment.
He concluded that, Holy Ghost Temple has a mission to accomplish to save mankind and they are prepared to do so which 2019 will be a year every region in Ghana will get one incubator.
Apart from the donations, the church is also helping to meet some of the health needs of the people organized a free health screening exercise today at the Berekum Omanhene's park to screen some of the various diseases like eye problems, breasts cancer, hypertension, teeth problems, blood group and others which majority of the Berekum people patronized both old and young took part.
The Administrator of the Holy Family Hospital in Berekum Rev. Sister Reena V. John thanked ICGC Adenta Frafraha Holy Ghost Temple and that of Rohi Temple in Berekum for their kind gesture to donate to the hospital a brand new incubator to be used in the hospital to save lives. She promised to make good use of the equipment and said many preterm babies will benefit from the incubator and many families will be transformed to see their preterm babies alive through the help of the incubator.
The Omanhene of Berekum Traditional Area, Dasebre Dr. Amankona Dewuo II, also thanked Prophet Christopher Yaw Anno and the church for responding to the call he made to them at the time the hospital was celebrating it's anniversary.
He called for more support from individuals and organizations to give the hospital equipments for the new maternity block construction at the hospital to furnish it with equipments.
The MCE of Berekum East Municipal, Hon. Kofi Adjei also congratulated the church for the provision of hospital equipments to help reduce health delivery challenges faced the country. He said the government has also introduced one Constituency one Ambulance to support emergency services in the country which he has pledge to get the hospital one Ambulance whenever the Ambulances are ready for distribution by the Nana Akufo Addo led government.

The Omanhene of Berekum Traditional Area in the Berekum Municipal of the Bono Region Dasebre Dr Amankona Diawuo II has passed on. The announcement of the demise of the Berekum Traditional leader was done today Friday 9th June 2023 by the chief spiritualist of Berekum Nana Komfo Kofi who was asked to take care of the health of the paramount chief but on his announcement, the paramount chief could not make it but joined his ancestors. Dasebre Dr Amankona Diawuo II was a doctor by profession and an active Church elder of the Church of Pentecost who serve the people of Berekum with calm and peaceful leadership who seek to maintain peace and unity after 17 years of chieftaincy dispute during his reign as the paramount chief of Berekum.
