Nketia Charity Memorial Foundation Inaugurated at Seikwa to Support Orphans.

                     NKETIA CHARITY MEMORIAL FOUNDATION LAUNCHED. A non-profit organization based in Seikwa in the Tain District of the Bono Region has donated items such as books, school bags and sanitary pads to over 100 children in the area. Nketia Charity Memorial Foundation founded by Mrs. Rita Kuma Nkrumah has officially been launched and will operate as a charity foundation to support orphans living in Seikwa and its environs. Unveiling the vision of the organization, Mrs. Rita Nkrumah; CEO of Nketia Charity Memorial Foundation said that, she has met a lot of orphans and seen how difficult life could be for them. This informed her decision to support them with quality education. She continued that the beginning of the school might be little but it is her heartfelt desire to always support others most especially, orphans. BONO NPP YOUTH WING HOLDS YOUTH CONFERENCE. The NPP youth wing in the Bono region has held its first regional youth conference as part of TESCON @ 20 Celebration. The well attended Conference was graced by dignitaries from regional and national headquarters of the party. They included the National Youth Organizer, Mr. Henry Nana Boakye, Bono Regional Minister, Mrs. Ama Kumi Richardson, Regional Youth Organizer, Razak Oppong, Dormaa East DCE, Hon. Kofi Agyemang, Dormaa West DCE, Mary Ameyaah, the Regional Organizer, Rashid Colanbay and amongst others. COUNCIL OF STATE MEMBER DESCENDS ON POLITICAL HEADS IN BEREKUM. The former Inspector General of Police (IGP) and former Ghana Ambassador to Israel, Nana Owusu Nsiah, who is currently a Council of State Member in President Nana Akuffo-Addo's administration has announced his displeasure on the poor performances of political leaders in Berekum. 2001 OLD STUDENTS OF BESS DONATES TO THE SCHOOL

BESSOSA 2001 DONATED TO THEIR ALMA MATER The Old Students of Berekum Senior High School in the Bono Region who completed in the year 2001 has done it again and this time round, donated 155 bags of cement.  The donation was in support of ongoing building projects in the school. This is the second time the year group is donating items to the school as part of their support in seeing the progress and development of their Alma mater. They donated street bulbs early this year to curb darkness on the campus. On behalf of the 2001 year group, Mr. Asare Bediako Seth (ABS) presented 155 bags of cements to the school said, " we the 2001 year group are ever poised to always support our alma mater because of the numerous benefits we have gained from the school." He said, the association is fully aware of challenges being faced including accommodation for teachers and students, transportation and dining hall turned into classroom, lack of facilities for over 2000 students

The current toilet facility is dilapidated and death trap at the Berekum main station, the situation which is causing health hazards is unfortunate. The public toilet at the Berekum main station poses nuisance and hazardous health threats to the traders, commuters, drivers and the people living around the station. Berekum West MP Secures Ghc2,000,000.00 for Promised Projects

HON. KWAKU AGYENIM BOATENG SECURES GHC 2 MILLIIN TO CONSTRUCT DRAINAGE SYSTEM. The Member of Parliament (MP)for Berekum West Constituency in the Bono Region and Deputy Minister of Railways, Hon. Kwaku Agyenim Boateng has secured an amount of Ghc2,000,000.00 funding from the government to construct concrete drains in the Jinijini township. The construction which is currently ongoing the district capital, is one of the major developmental projects the people in the town has been calling for.  The situation has been very terrible and life threatening whenever it rains.
